BOY, ARE WE BEING DUPED!
THIS DOCUMENTARY IS TOO IMPORTANT TO MISS! It completely contradicts almost everything our government and President are telling us about how things are going in Iraq and it is FROM THE SOURCE; an Iraqi Doctor on the front line. Even he was finally forced to stop filming and to leave the country and is now studying journalism on a Fulbright Scholarship here in America. In this movie, you will hear Iraqis themselves tell you about the state of affairs over there (and NOT inside the protected Green Zone where all our people report from, where they are protected and shielded from the reality). There is an injured woman in the film riding in the back of an ambulance and she is wailing "Bring back Saddam. It was not like this under him." This woman is a Shia....they HATED Saddam...and welcomed the invasion at first, thinking they would be freed from Sunni rule...but now even the Shia say things are worse, that now even brothers kill brothers, that the violence is CONSTANT, every day there are bombings and killings. We are being lied to, our soldiers are being used, and the human tragedy is incomprehensible.------------------------------------------If you missed the first two showings of this already, there are still three more. Don't know if folks here have satellite or cable so check the HBO lineup for your provider. For satellite viewers, the last three showings are 1/31 at 12:45am, then gain on Saturday at 5pm and 8pm. The channel changes for each so check your schedule. THIS DOCUMENTARY IS TOO IMPORTANT TO MISS! It completely contradicts almost everything our government and President are telling us abo... more

Iraqi Doctor & HBO Team Up For Documentary
Baghdad Hospital: Inside the Red Zone
Al-Yarmouk hospital, which has become a "field hospital in a civil war," is located in the most dangerous part of Baghdad and serves as the epicenter of hope and despair for thousands of wounded civilians and their families. Filmed by an Iraqi doctor, the new HBO documentary BAGHDAD HOSPITAL: INSIDE THE RED ZONE chronicles the chaos both inside the ER and on the streets of Baghdad. Premieres Tuesday, January 29 at 8:30.
Be sure to watch the HBO documentary tonight "Baghdad Hospital: Inside the Red Zone" and keep in mind while viewing it what the President said in his last State of the Union about how much the Iraqis love us being there, realize we are helping them, and want us to stay there until all the terroriists are gone and justice has prevailed.

Do any of these headlines sound familiar?
In an e-mail from a friend today he directed me to some very interesting headlines from previous days of financial worries.
It has been said that 'history would not repeat itself if mankind didn't keep making the same stupid mistakes over and over again.' Today the crowd is saying that the 'fundamentals' are sound, hoping that what they 'want' is what will happen and refusing to look at any negative view to that. There are none as blind as those that will not see.
Today's situation is infinitely more dangerous than that of 1929. A financial Armageddon is possible due to the size (BIS Quarterly) of the OTC derivative mess. It is for just this reason that there is no limit to the monetary and fiscal stimulus that will be applied to prevent it. It is that attempt to prevent a total meltdown that will take the price of gold to and above $1650. I wish the Fed and PPT good luck because no one could possibly want to see what is coming in 2011.
Here is an example: November 1929; 'The collapse of stock speculation has overshadowed all other events in business during the past month. We do not believe the fundamentals of the business situation have changed. The countries farms, mills and factories are intact. All over the country, general business is proceeding in a healthy and orderly fashion in marked contrast to the chaotic conditions in the stock market'. Islamic insurgency spilling into Peshawar, Pakistan
'Suicide bombings, bomb explosions and missile attacks occurred an average of once a week in Peshawar in 2007, according to a tally by the city's police department. In 2006, while there were occasional grenade attacks and explosions, the authorities did not record a single suicide bombing or rocket attack inside the city.
Though few in the city believe that the Taliban will rule anytime soon, the police and residents say that, by the standards of counterinsurgency warfare, the extremists are doing well. They have undermined public faith in the government, sown distrust and made the police fearful for their lives.'::NY Times.

VH1 Makes Fun of Current Emmy Win
On the most recent edition of VH1's Show 'Best Week Ever', there was a brief bit reviewing the recent Emmy celebration. Amidst the highlight reel, the parody program took a playful swipe at the accomplishment bestowed upon Al Gore and the Viewer Created Network. I'm sure we are to presume that 'surreal' shows featuring the amblings of Scott Baio, Brent Michaels, Flavor Flav and Danny Bonaduce are worthy of more public adore than they have received. Representatives at Current could not be reached for comment becuase they are out in the field hustling down a 'real' look at why somone would watch an entire season of 'I Love New York'. Many national reports have profiled the Kansas City Metro in the emerging crisis taking place in the housing and real estate markets. Experts report that the stability of a Midwestern Kansas City market provides a great deal of ripples to the entire country because of it's history of stability and fixed prices.
