Free Shakespeare in the Park throughout September -SF

The Presidio is again pleased to welcome Free Shakespeare in the Park, this time featuring Pericles. Performances will be held August 30 to September 21 on Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays and Labor Day Monday at 2:30 pm outdoors on the Main Parade Ground Lawn, near the Presidio Officers’ Club, 50 Moraga Avenue on the Main Post. Fans should arrive early. Pillows and low-back folding chairs are allowed. Snacks and beverages will be available for sale, or bring a picnic. Free parking! Cool Globes at Crissy Field
The Presidio community is invited to a special grand opening celebration to kick off "Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet" on Tuesday, August 5 at 10:30 am at Crissy Field. Cool Globes is an outdoor, public art exhibit that highlights climate change and the simple things each of us can do in our everyday lives to prevent it. The exhibit features 40 custom-designed 5-foot globes -- each depicting a solution to the climate crisis. Cool Globes will be on display at Crissy Field from August 5 through October 12.
