Brothel entices Customers with Gas rebate
A Nevada brothel is trying to stimulate business by offering free gasoline.
Clients of the Shady Lady Ranch will get a $50 gas voucher if they fork out $300 -- worth about one hour's worth of services -- at the brothel in Beatty, Nevada, 130 miles northwest of Las Vegas.
Owner James Davis said he already has had to order another $1,000 set of gas vouchers because the first $1,000 were spent in one week.
"It's rocking along. We're doing quite well. June and July historically are not big months," said Davis, who is co-owner of the brothel along with his wife Bobbi, in a telephone interview.
The $50 rebate would roughly cover the cost of a round trip drive from Las Vegas to the ranch.
Davis said business at the ranch, which has been operating for 16 years, generally slows in the early summer. He said the brothel regularly offers specials to lure clients and his wife came up with the gas vouchers for this month.
U.S. gasoline prices hit a record $4.08 a gallon last week, up 38 percent from a year ago.
Brothels, illegal in most U.S. states, are legal in parts of Nevada.

Stripper arrested for subway pole dances
"A stripper who danced on the poles of Santiago subway trains to challenge the prudishness of Chilean society was arrested on Thursday during one of her lightning performances.
Monserrat Morilles, 26, surprised subway riders all week stripping to skimpy underwear, but she refused tips.
She said she was protesting a lack of tolerance in Chile, one of Latin America's most conservative societies where the first generation since the Pinochet dictatorship is reaching adulthood.
"This is just a beginning. We are starting an idea here that will grow and be developed further," she told Reuters as police and subway guards surrounded her.
The professional pole dancer worked quickly all week to avoid arrest, getting on at one station, finding a subway car with no children on it and stripping in time to exit at the next station.
Chilean media dubbed her "La Diosa del Metro" or Subway Goddess. She called her performances "happy minutes."
"Chile is still a pretty timid country," said her manager Gustavo Pradenas. "People aren't very extroverted and we want to take aim at that and make Chile a happier country"."

No Porn For Troops
You can serve the entire country in the military, but the military won’t let you serve yourself. Did you know that our troops in Iraq aren’t allowed porn? Our poor overseas personnel who are risking their lives aren’t even allowed to have dirty magazines. All they get are visits from Jessica Simpson. While the no porno rule supposedly isn’t strictly enforced for combat troops, it just got a contractor sent home. ITT small-arms repairman Brian Sayler was given a free lap dance and some DVDs while on leave visiting his hometown. A Stoughton, Massachusetts stripper named Cassidey gave him some of her films for free, which he brought back to Iraq with him. When his bunk was searched, the poor patriot was promptly fired. Isn’t this the wrong battle to be fighting? You can serve the entire country in the military, but the military won’t let you serve yourself. Did you know that our troops in Iraq... more

Children + Strippers = Hilarious Hole-in-One!
So what happens when a golf course accidentally books a youth golf tournament AND a strip club charity golf game at the same time? A hilariously sexy mishap!
Young golfers, ages 7 to 12, had not completed their Monday morning tournament before participants arrived in limousines for the Shotgun Willie's Charity Golf Tournament.
The latter event featured patrons of the strip club paired with dancers who served as caddies. Police later broke up the event after complaints from neighbors.
The cool kids however were fine with sticking around for the action on the back 9. So what happens when a golf course accidentally books a youth golf tournament AND a strip club charity golf game at the same time? A ... more -
Strippers arrested, lap dances ruined (temporarily)
For some ridiculous reason, Texas has a law that forbids strippers from getting within 3-feet of their customers. (Do you know how far 3-feet is when boobs are involved?) And according to TheSmokingGun.com, because of this completely impractical law, they busted 18 innocent–I’m sure–women yesterday, who forgot to pack a tape measure in their g-string.
Way to go Texas! You're running neck and neck with Florida for having the wackiest/trashiest news. For some ridiculous reason, Texas has a law that forbids strippers from getting within 3-feet of their customers. (Do you know how far... more -

Stripper Hired to Dance at Funeral | Weird Asia News
"There is a bond that some children have with their parents that can never be stripped away.
Cai Ruigong, a Taiwanese man, proved that recently when he hired an adult dancer to perform at his father’s funeral.
Ruigong’s father, Cai Jinlai, was 103 years old when he passed away. Jinlai was famous for his interest in strips clubs and often traveled around the island where he lived, visiting various strip clubs. Jinlai was the oldest person in his village and had over 100 descendants.
Ruigong had made a promise to his father that if he lived past 100 years old, he would have a stripper dance at his funeral.
Jinlai would have been proud to know that he went out in style, with a $160 stripper dancing for 10 minutes in front of his coffin.
We recently published a video that was sent in by one of our readers that showed strippers performing in front of children. Apparently strippers are not frowned upon in Taiwanese culture.

Vegans Gone Wild in Portland
At first glance, Casa Diablo Gentlemen’s Club in Portland, Ore., looks just like all the other strip clubs popping up in that city. Take a closer look at it and you will come to find out that all the employees, management and strippers are all either vegan or vegetarian. At the club, leather is not allowed to be worn on - stage just pleather, and clients are served tofu, not red meat. Since its opening last month, Feminists in Portland, whom the owner of the club calls, “femenazi’s,” have been complaining that this type of club is sending the wrong message in “using sex appeal to sell an idea.” According to one of the people interviewed in the New York Times Article, “it seems that using sex appeal is working, we’ve gotten a lot of men eating vegetarian, if not vegan.” At first glance, Casa Diablo Gentlemen’s Club in Portland, Ore., looks just like all the other strip clubs popping up in that city. Can the gents in the City live without business meetings at Strip Clubs?
The economy is in bad enough shape right now without this unnecessary attack on standard business practices.
In this article from the Independent Katherine Rake, The Fawcett Society director, said: "Within a business context, women's bodies being exposed is demeaning and degrading.

Virginia is for pasties
When people go to strip clubs, they go there for the nakedness. Not the costumes, not the lighting, not the soundtrack or the clever remarks from the chatty DJ. No, they come for the nakedness.
Strip clubs are for seeing more than you could see strolling across a beach. Experiencing porn-like situations. Living out fantasies. Wasting hundreds of dollars. These are the sorts of experiences strip clubs provide. It’s common sense.
Except to idiots. Like Delegate John A. Cosgrove. Cosgrove recently sponsored a bill that fights back against an August ruling that a Virginia law “prohibiting lewd conduct at establishments with liquor licenses was unconstitutional and too broad”.
Basically, ol’ John will most probably (provided the governor signs the bill) get the dancers at places like J.B.’s Gallery of Girls and Headlights (classy name guys) to put tiny pieces of fabric over their nipples come July 1st, 2008. Because areolas are obviously wicked lewd.
Why the hell would anyone waste time trying to get strippers to cover a tiny portion of their boob with cloth? Does this delegate have nothing better to do? Go after child porn on the internet. Go after teen pregnancy. Don’t go after strippers. Because everyone knows STRIPPERS are SUPPOSED TO BE NAKED!!!
Ugh. My head hurts. When people go to strip clubs, they go there for the nakedness. Not the costumes, not the lighting, not the soundtrack or the clever r... more -

For rent: Funeral stripper
Of all the things I'd want at my funeral, a stripper had never really popped into my thoughts, until now, after a Taiwanese man reportedly hired a stripper to perform at his 103-year-old father's funeral.
£80 saw the stripper gyrate in front of the coffin for a whole ten minutes dressed in a shiny green PVC bikini - now that's class.

Is America ready for a gay "idol"?
For those of you who don't follow American Idol, a scandal has erupted regarding the illicit past profession of Idol contestant David Hernandez. Last week, "Idol"-bashing VoteForTheWorst.com posted photos of scantily clad semifinalist David Hernandez working at gay nightclub Burn, as well as rumors that he was a stripper at Dick's Cabaret in Phoenix. Club manager Gordy Bryan told the AP on Monday that Hernandez did indeed dance fully nude and perform lap dances for the club's "mostly male" clientele.
Club manager Bryan says he did not know anything about Hernandez's personal life while he was stripping at Dick's Cabaret. Hernandez's MySpace profile lists his sexual orientation as straight.
Whether or not Hernandez is gay is secondary to the issues that this brings up for mainstream, primetime televised media - will they or won't they?
No finalist as ever been portrayed as openly gay during the past six seasons of "American Idol." With more details about contestants' personal lives being exposed—both on the show and unofficially online—that could change, and soon. When reached for comment about this story, Fox and "Idol" producers issued the following statement to The Associated Press: "We do not comment on the personal lives of the show participants." None of the current contestants have been made available for comment.
I don't see why this would be an issue, when prime time shows like Will & Grace and Ellen have openly depicted homosexuality for years. For those of you who don't follow American Idol, a scandal has erupted regarding the illicit past profession of Idol contestant David ... more -
Neo-Burlesque: feathers, boobie-tassels and ART!
