    • 130 musicians on Damon Albarn's new album.

The former Blur/Gorillaz/The Good, The Bad & The Queen frontman will release a new album in July.

Albarn told BBC 6Music: "This one's [the new album] got about 80, 90 musicians on it – something in that region. It's got a 100-piece Chinese choir on one of the tunes. That plus the orchestra probably goes to about 120, 130 people."

Rowntree will contest the seat in the Cities of London and Westminster Constituency, currently held by the Conservatives. The drummer has famously admitted he was addicted to cocaine in Blur's halcyon days in the '90s and is a staunch critic of the government's anti-drugs policies.

    • Damon Albarn Condemns Celebrity Culture

That's right, Blur and Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn has hit out the celebrity culture we live in, saying that the way celebrities behave "sends out all the wrong messages".

Once a prominent figure in British music, I reckon Albarn hasn't had as much success as of late. With his previous band mate Alex James appearing on a talent show for unsigned bands, do you think his ex-bandmate James would share the same views?
