When I first interviewed Seamus, I asked him to read Paul Simon's heartbreaking prose, "The Boxer", I was unprepared for what happens at the end and just grateful to have been there with my camera. SHADOW BOXER
Larger than life Irish actor and writer Seamus Patrick McDonagh is a charismatic contradiction of a man with a huge infectious smile, an honors degree in English Literature and a powerful left hook. WIth a broad grin Seamus quotes Emerson, "The measure of success in life is to laugh often." And that he does. I asked if I could shoot him "Shadow Boxing" and he cheerfully agreed, sharing the paradoxical grace and brutality of the "Sweet Science" along the East River in New York City.
