SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5 / AP / BCN) ― A Cessna 210 Centurion plane crashed into the San Francisco Bay south of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge shortly before 2 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The U.S. Coast Guard says it rescued two people from the water after the plane went down near the Bay Bridge toll plaza and new bridge contruction around 2 p.m. Wednesday.
The two passengers were not seriously injured.
The FAA said the Cessna had reported a loss of power before it crashed.
Preliminary information indicates the single-engine plane experienced engine problems before it crashed into the bay, FAA spokesman Ian Gregor said.
The Emeryville and Oakland fire departments, as well as the California Highway Patrol, California Department of Transportation and U.S.
Coast Guard, were responding, Oakland fire spokesman Lt. David Brue said.

The limo company that owns the wrecked Mercedes involved in the crash that killed Princess Diana wants to cash in on its history. Owners have put the car up for sale, hoping to get £1 million for it. The car has been in a Metropolitan Police compound in London since July 2005. The manager of the Paris-based Etoile Limousines says they were never given compenstation for the vehicle, and now wants the car back, saying: "It's worth a great deal of money."

CIA Plane Crashes in Mexico - A Story With a Twist in the Tale
Remember that "extraordinary rendition" debacle that took place a few months ago? To recap, a few English journalists had clocked that the CIA were leasing private planes to secretly fly illegally captured law abiders to secret prisons in Eastern Europe. It seems that one of the planes logged on this list of "CIA Prison Planes" has been in a little accident - It crash landed in Mexico after running out of Jet fuel en route to the US. The authorities were more than a little surprised when they found four tons, yes you heard me right, four tons of cocaine on board.
The men flying the plane have disappeared - including one woman, the CIA refuses to comment, and the mainstream press don't want to touch the story. Aren't you glad, that at times like this we have Current TV. This story should go on infomania, with a twist of sarcasm and a touch of Conor Knighton's humor.
