Australians making odd choices for funeral songs
While in attendence at a loved one's funeral, generally one would remain low key and solemn in rememberence of a recent loss of life. Certainly, when the choir begins to sing I wouldn't be anticipating the riffs of "Highway to Hell," or "Another One Bites the Dust."
But hey, who said funerals have to be morbid and gloom anyway? I would hope that at my funeral, we'll have a bowl of punch, maybe some cookies, and I'll have my arm permanently half extended upward so that instead of everybody kissing me goodbye we can just slap five and have a jolly old time. Handcuffed Man Steals Police Car
Police in the Australian city of Brisbane were left stranded and embarrassed after a handcuffed suspect drove off in their patrol car.
The two officers had arrested 29-year-old Mark Robert Nolan in connection with a series of burglaries.
They put him in their unmarked vehicle and went round the back to look for some further evidence.
Mr Nolan waited until they had gone, climbed into the driver's seat, started the engine and drove off. Police in the Australian city of Brisbane were left stranded and embarrassed after a handcuffed suspect drove off in their patrol car.... more -
