    • Ice Cube Hand Picks And Sequences His Greatest Hits

Less than a month after releasing Raw Footage [click to read], Ice Cube [click to read] will unveil his greatest hits with The Essentials. The second compilation of his career (the first one released in 2001), The Essentials spans eight albums and 18 years of solid solo performance. However, unlike other artist’s greatest hits compilations, Ice Cube had total creative control over which records made The Essentials, handpicking the ones he felt fans would appreciate the most in a career that has made him one of the biggest Hip Hop stars in the entire world.

Included in the 18-track album are two Billboard Rap cCart toppers in “Check Yo Self” and “It Was A Good Day,” off of Cube’s groundbreaking album The Predator. But he doesn’t just stop with incredible single material.

Pulling essentials from each and every one of his albums, Cube keeps the compilation in check with tracks such as “Greed” (War & Peace, Vol. 1), “The Wrong Nigga To Fuck Wit” (Death Certificate), and for his dedicated fans, “Dead Homiez” (Kill At Will).

    • WC Talks New Album, Clarifies Mack 10 Separation

In a new interview with DubCNN.com, west coast veteran and West Side Connection member WC revealed he's presently at work in the studio.

"That's that species in the world that's just full of bacteria, so much shit that it has consumed over the years," said WC of the meaning behind his next album title Return of the Barracuda. "If [a barracuda] bites you, it's curtains! It's a wrap! I done been through so much throughout my career that it's like, I'm the wrong muthafucka to deal with man. That's how I feel towards the rap game, dealing with the industry. I don't wanna play by their rules no more, I done got a taste of this independent life and I'm good! That's why I urge all the upcoming artists out there, all the producers, anybody that's trying to get down: don't hesitate to go out there and do it independently. You might not get all that money up front or a big advance, but what you get is yours. You own your masters."

    • Ice Cube: True To The Game

It’s Friday night and the young New York working class has milled into a small venue on the Lower East Side. The crowd is a cultural mix of young and old Hip Hoppers. The scene isn’t fancy or friendly. Everyone seems like they’re in the mood for some gangsta shit. The local deejay takes a break from spinning the top 100 and introduces the man of the hour: west coast boss of all bosses, Ice Cube. Fans cheer and rush the stage as he and long-time friend and partner-in-rhyme, WC, rip through recent cuts off of Laugh Now, Cry Later and his latest album Raw Footage.

Cube aggressively commands the stage and electrifies his audience. As he surfs farther back in time through his catalog of classics, the wave of the crowd grows into a frenzied tsunami. The venue quakes as fans flow word-for-word with Cube on “Today Was a Good Day” and finally erupts with “Straight Outta Compton.” That’s where it all started. 1980s. N.W.A. Los Angeles. That’s the Cube they first loved and the primary reason they ride for him to this day.

    • Joe Gets Arrested

Joe Hanson has certainly done a number of questionable things over the course of the Joe Gets series. But he's never done anything to get in trouble with the law. That's why he took a ride down to the station to find out what happens when Joe Gets Arrested. Joe Hanson has certainly done a number of questionable things over the course of the Joe Gets series.
