How to get arrested 452 times
If you were going to beat the record for the number of times getting arrested you'd probably want to make sure that you got caught for something slightly better than stealing a bottle of mouthwash. None the less, Wilson Yazzie Benally of Salt Lake City fame did exactly that, and the mouthwash incident was his 452nd arrest since 1995.
Upon realising they had a potential record breaker on their hands, Salt Lake City investigated their records to see if he had taken the title as most arrested man. But to their amazement, another man was "dealt with" well over 1000 times between 2002 and 2006 and had been arrested at least 600 times.
After 1000 run-ins with the police, you've gotta start asking questions about what you're doing with your life, or do you? If you were going to beat the record for the number of times getting arrested you'd probably want to make sure that you got caugh... more -

Better duck - If you're a Mormon
"If you denigrate a racial group, you're racist.
If you denigrate women, you're sexist.
If you denigrate Mormons, you're hip.
No one would openly suggest that you shouldn't vote for Hillary Clinton because a woman can't lead the country, especially an ornery one.
Nobody would dare say that you shouldn't vote for Barack Hussein Obama because he's black, or of Muslim descent, or because he has a name that sounds like a terrorist. One Clinton worker even apologized for alluding to Obama's use of drugs as a youth, so apparently it's wrong to disparage former drug users, too.
But nobody is shy about saying you shouldn't vote for Romney simply because he's a Mormon."
The above is an excerpt from Deseret News columnist Doug Robinson's latest column. I believe he is speaking for the millions of Mormons who feel the same way at this point. Enough with slandering Mitt Romney's religion.

Utah: Religion and the "Moral Issues"
During the 2004 presidential election, one exit poll revealed that 22% of voters said "Moral Issues" was the number one issue they voted on. Of those voters 80% voted for President Bush, and it was the state of Utah that gave the President his largest margin of victory. So just how important will "Moral Issues" be in the 2008 presidential election? In Utah, very important. It begins thus:
"Today, as we come together once again in this great city, we raise our voices in unison to say to President Bush, to Vice President Cheney, to other members of the Bush Administration (past and present), to a majority of Congress, including Utahs entire congressional delegation, and to much of the mainstream media: You have failed us miserably and we wont take it any more."

What do Utahns Google? This article may surprise you!
According to columnist Lee Davidson, of the Deseret Morning News, Utah ranks No. 1 in the nation and sometimes the world for using Google to search the Web for such terms as "Jesus," "family history," "Harry Potter," "Mormon," "Lord of the Rings," "NBA," "snowboarding," "home storage" and "Mitt Romney."
But other terms where Utah also ranks No. 1 show a seedier side to local culture.
According to Davidson, Utah and/or Salt Lake City also rank tops in the nation in searches for "pornography," "naked girls," "striptease," "topless," "nude," "strip poker," "lingerie," "blonde" and "brunette."

It's Mitt by a mile in Utah!
As expected nearly two thirds of the Republicans who will vote in Utah's presidential primary are saying they will vote for Mr. Romney, according to a new Deseret Morning News/KSL-TV poll. The state's Democrats, meanwhile, strongly favored Barack Obama. Maybe a surprise to the rest of the nation but no surprise to me. The Illinois senator had the support of 42 percent of Utah Democrats who said they planned to vote, compared to 18 percent who said they would vote for former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina and 16 percent for Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York. Utah sure hates the Clinton's!!!
