Il 4 Marzo 2001 (potete verificare la data ovunque) andò in onda sui network televisivi americani, il telefilm "The Lone Gunmen", i cui protagonisti principali sono i "consulenti" di Fox Mulder in "The X-Files", Langly, Byers e Frohike, i cosidetti "Pistoleri Solitari".
Ebbene in questo "spin-off" di X-Files, nella prima puntanta intitolata "Pilot" si trova la "profezia" di un atroce evento che sarebbe avvenuto qualche mese dopo. Nella puntata pilota si vede un Boeing 747 di una comune linea aerea, pieno di passeggeri, dirottato sul... Word Trade Center. Inoltre l’aereo è dirottato “da remoto” sfruttando il pilota automatico e la natura dei mandanti dell’attentato.
Nel telefilm l’attacco sarebbe organizzato da alcuni settori del Governo Federale allo scopo di “giustificare l’aumento delle spese militari e l’attacco ad un paese con un regime non affine agli Stati Uniti“.
E' solo una coincidenza oppure c'è davvero un sospetto (legittimo o meno che sia) che dietro le idee di Chris Carter (ideatore della serie "X Files" e di "The Lone Gunmen") ci sia la supervisione di qualche ente governativo e di "intelligence" USA?

Cheney admits there's no proof linking Bin Laden to 9/11!
This may have been put up by a 9/11 conspiracy nut, but there is some truth to it.

The FBI has admitted they have no hard evidence connecting Osama bin Laden to 9/11. He has not been formally charged in connection to 9/11. Once evidence is gathered, it is turned over to the Department of Justice. The Department then decides whether it has enough evidence to present to a federal grand jury. In the case of the 1998 United States Embassies being bombed, bin Laden has been formally indicted and charged by a grand jury. There is some evidence linking bin Laden to 9/11, (more evidence linking bin Laden than Bush to 9/11) but not enough to charged bin Laden. The media has remained silence on this.
However, Cheney did lie when he said "we've never made the case or argued the case that Osama bin Laden was directly involved in 9/11." Through corporate media, the Bush administration told the American people that bin Laden was "Public Enemy Number One" responsible for the deaths of nearly 3,000 people on September 11, 2001.

Palin links Iraq to Sept. 11 in talk to troops in Alaska

FORT WAINWRIGHT, Alaska, Sept. 11 -- Gov. Sarah Palin linked the war in Iraq with the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, telling an Iraq-bound brigade of soldiers that included her son that they would "defend the innocent from the enemies who planned and carried out and rejoiced in the death of thousands of Americans."
The idea that the Iraqi government under Saddam Hussein helped al-Qaeda plan the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, a view once promoted by Bush administration officials, has since been rejected even by the president himself. But it is widely agreed that militants allied with al-Qaeda have taken root in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion.
"America can never go back to that false sense of security that came before September 11, 2001," she said at the deployment ceremony, which drew hundreds of military families who walked from their homes on the sprawling post to the airstrip where the service was held.
Palin's return to Alaska coincided with her first extensive interview since she became the Republican vice presidential nominee. In the interview, with ABC News correspondent Charles Gibson, she was confronted with questions about the U.S. relationship with Russia and her fitness for office, and she appeared to struggle when asked to define the "Bush doctrine" on foreign policy. Palin drew repeated follow-up questions from Gibson about whether she believed in the right to "anticipatory self-defense" and crossing other nations' borders to take action against threats.
The event Thursday, held on a barren Army post on the seventh anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, provided a powerful visual backdrop for Palin's first solo appearance after weeks of traveling alongside McCain and reading from a carefully prepared script.
McCain aides were adamant that the ceremony had not been coordinated with the campaign, and officers at the installation said the Alaska governor had agreed to attend months before she was chosen for the GOP ticket. Palin's son Track, 19, will deploy to Iraq with his unit later this month. McCain's son Jimmy is with his Marine Corps unit in Iraq, but the senator from Arizona has taken pains to keep him out of the campaign spotlight.
Pvt. 1st Class Palin is being sent to Iraq with the Stryker Brigade Combat Team of the 25th Infantry Division. Palin, 19, will be deployed to northern Iraq and will be primarily tasked with protecting and helping transport the deputy commander of his unit, Lt. Col. Michael W. Smith. His position is one of dismounted infantryman.
The governor did not address her son by name in her remarks but spoke broadly on behalf of the troops' families. "Don't mind us -- your parents, your friends, your family -- if we allow for a few tears or if we hold you just a little closer once more before you're gone," she said. "We're going to miss you. We can't help it, we're going to miss you."

Agency Fights Building Code Born of 9/11
WASHINGTON — A federal agency has joined some of the nation’s biggest landlords in trying to repeal stronger safety requirements for new skyscrapers that were added to the country’s most widely used building code last year, arguing that they would be too expensive to meet.
The new provisions, which include requiring tall office buildings to have more robust fireproofing and an extra emergency stairwell, were enacted as a result of an exhaustive federal study into the collapse of the twin towers at the World Trade Center seven years ago this week.
The General Services Administration, which serves as the federal government’s property manager, is now opposing the tougher standards, even though they were based on a report by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, which issues recommendations for safety standards after investigating fires and other building catastrophes.
“It does not take a NIST report or a rocket scientist to figure out that requiring additional exit stairs will improve overall occupant evacuation times,” David Frable, a General Services Administration fire safety engineer, wrote in a petition asking the International Code Council to rescind the changes, which go to a vote next week. “The bigger question that needs to be answered is at what economic cost to society?”

US court rules Saudis immune for Sept 11 attacks
liable for the September 11 attacks against the United States despite charitable donations that ended up in the hands of Al-Qaeda.
Upholding a 2006 decision by a lower court, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan ruled inadmissible a lawsuit in which families of victims of the 9/11 attacks charged that Saudi Arabia, four Saudi princes, a Saudi charity and bank had given material support to Al-Qaeda.
The plaintiffs in the case cited Saudi donations to Muslim charity groups that were later transferred to the Al-Qaeda terror network, arguing the Saudis were responsible for financing the 9/11 attacks.
The court in its ruling said the "Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act of 1976" granted the Saudi defendants immunity from prosecution on US soil.
It also ruled that a charity named in the suit, the Saudi High Commission for Relief to Bosnia and Herzegovina, was also immune under the same law as it was "an agency or instrumentality of the Kingdom."

Saudi Arabia immune in 9/11 case
NEW YORK (Reuters) - The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, four princes and other Saudi entities are immune from a lawsuit filed by victims of the September 11 attacks and their families alleging they gave material support to al Qaeda, a federal appeals court ruled on Thursday.
The ruling by the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan upheld a 2006 ruling by U.S. District Judge Richard Casey dismissing a claim against Saudi Arabia, a Saudi charity, four princes and a Saudi banker of providing material support to al Qaeda before the September 11 attacks.
The victims and their families argued that because the defendants gave money to Muslim charities that in turn gave money to al Qaeda, they should be held responsible for helping to finance the attacks.
The appeals court found that the defendants are protected under the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act.
The court also noted that exceptions to the immunity rule do not apply because Saudi Arabia has not been designated a state sponsor of terrorism by the U.S. State Department. Navy Officer alleges 4th "hijacked" plane (Flight 93) was SHOT DOWN
"If they hadn't shot down the fourth plane it would've hit the dome," Stone, a Navy officer, said in his opening remarks.
The tribunal's chief prosecutor, Col. Lawrence Morris, later explained that Stone was quoting Hamdan in evidence that will be presented at trial. Morris declined to say if the "dome" was a reference to the U.S. Capitol.
"Virtually no one knew the intended target, but the accused knew," Stone said.
United Airlines Flight 93 crashed in a field in rural Pennsylvania. U.S. officials have never stated it was shot down although rumors saying that abound to this day.
I thought this was an interesting little tidbit as the official story is that it "crashed".

Suicide Car Blast Kills 41 in Afghan Capital
A Taliban suicide bomber killed at least 17 civilians, most of them children, and four police in a bazaar in southern Afghanistan on Sunday, police said.
Taliban suicide bombs have killed more than 230 civilians and wounded nearly 500 already this year, NATO says.
Afghan and foreign forces are stopping a greater proportion of the attacks but the Taliban are attempting many more suicide bombings this year compared to last, security experts say.
In the latest attack the bomber, travelling on a motorcycle, targeted a police vehicle in a bazaar in the Deh Rawood district of Uruzgan province, the provincial police chief told Reuters.
"Seventeen civilians and four policemen died in the attack. Thirty-seven more civilians and five police have been wounded," Juma Khan Himat said by telephone, adding the death toll could rise. Most of the civilian victims were children, he said.
Afghanistan is suffering from a rising tide of violence this year, with a sharp increase in Taliban attacks, especially in the east where NATO says militants have taken advantage of peace deals in Pakistan to cross the border and fight in Afghanistan.
The Interior Ministry in Kabul said 24 people, four of them police, including a senior officer, were killed in the attack.

Those who bottle feelings up 'can ease trauma'
"People who do not talk about traumatic experiences can fare better than those who "let it all out", say researchers.
The University at Buffalo study compared the progress of 3,000 people who took different approaches over two years following the 9/11 attacks.
It found people initially unwilling to talk were less likely to be adversely affected two years later.
But a UK psychologist said that other studies had suggested that for many people talking did help.
The popular advice that it is better to talk about your feelings after a trauma has been the subject of dozens of different research projects.
This latest one involved 3,000 people who completed online surveys in the days immediately following the 2001 attacks and over the course of the next two years.
Those taking part had not lost a loved one or friend.
People who took part were allocated to different groups depending on whether they said that they felt ready to express their feelings or not.
If the assumption that it is healthier to talk about feelings is correct, then the researchers, led by Dr Mark Seery, would expect to see those who were initially uncommunicative coping worse over time with their traumatic memories.

On 9/11 I had been one week on the Job in the Bush administration which started on September 4th.
I saw black smoke billowing out of the tower and I pointed to it and said, 'That building will not fall' count on an economist for a quick and easy prediction.
When I learned that both towers had turned to dust I said 'How can that happen. I don't get it, I was wrong and so many people were wrong. Never thinking that the Bush administration could have been involved or permit the atrocities of 9/11.
I worked for nearly 16 more months before I resigned and then when they invaded Iraq I knew it was on Big Lies. Everybody in town (Washington DC) really knew it, they wouldn't own up to it or do anything about it.

NO PASSENGER JET HIT WORLD TRADE CENTER 1
An analysis of the Naudet brothers' footage
of the first strike on World Trade Center 1.
If someone asks you to see a video of the WTC exploding with no plane in it, here's your best choice. The Naudet WTC1 footage is maybe the most famous of all the 9/11 images.
My analysis here has consisted - as usual - in slowing down the video, check it frame by frame and occasionally crop (enlarge) some shots to view the fine details. (As ever, I have of course NOT altered one single pixel of the material ).
The graphic object diving into the tower appears to be transparent : I call it 'THE GLASS PLANE'. It really is a poor graphic insertion. No video compression will make a block of pixels change color entirely depending on the background it is cast against. But more, much more importantly :
EVIDENCE OF MISSING AIRPLANE :
We may observe that the visible right side of the tower remains intact until 6 seconds after impact . Indeed, we may see 30% of the (righthand) wall still INTACT for several seconds after impact. At the 6sec mark we see the ignition of the shape charges which eventually rip open the wide plane-shaped hole we all remember.
As the explosive charges only manage to open a 130ft-wide gash, a problem arises for the perpetrators : a Boeing 767's wingspan is 156 feet. So, to fix this problem, the far right tip of the gash (representing 'plane's wingtip') gets penciled in digitally on the video to reach the approx160gash-width required to 'sell' the idea of a Boeing767 melting entirely into WTC 1. (NOTE TO SKEPTICS : No, that black gash appearing suddenly is NO SMOKE - it appears too quickly and develops in opposite wind direction).
The inescapable conclusion is that NO LARGE PASSENGER JET crashed into the WTC1.

SHOT 1 : (Evan Fairbanks) This video has many oddities. One is that the airplane melts into the tower with NOTHING - not even the aft assembly – breaking off. Another is the impossible reflection in the car windshield : this incredible blunder establishes the ineptitude of the authors of this forgery - or the courage of a whistleblower.
SHOTS 2 & 3 (Courchesne and Hezarkhani) : Both these shots clearly show, on 'plane' impact, two explosions on the tower (over and under right wingtip). If these are not shape charges planted in the tower, what could they possibly be ? Please do not suggest “fuel in the wingtips exploding” …
SHOT 4 : (Tina Cart) The stripes on the World Trade Centers are extremely bright - even though they are in shade. This ALONE exposes this shot as a forgery. If you should disagree, please explain.
The ineptitude of the "911 video forgery team" may be a difficult thing to take in. How could such incompetence go undetected in a presumably well-funded operation ? Yet this is what we have and what emerges from the close scrutiny of these images, repeatedly broadcast on TV.

CIA = LIE Part 2: Lies Permeate Our Government
Here's an interesting Op Ed from the NY Times today written by Thomas H. Kean and Lee H. Hamilton who served as chairman and vice chairman, respectively, of the 9/11 commission. It's about how the newspaper asked the CIA numerous times for information after the law was put into effect to release all information about these serious attacks on America.
Don't get me wrong, I love my country as I love my wife. But the lies and deceitfulness incorporated into many facets of our Government needs to be stopped dead in its tracks.
Lies from the city, county, state governments to lies on Capital Hill. Lies that put people in prisons, Lies that keep people in prisons, Lies that keep people below poverty level, lies, lies and lies. Lies about our Social Security system AND Numbers. The old SS Cards had a disclaimer on the bottom that said: The SS# Will never be used for Identification purposes.
Now we are merely a number with our government. Furthermore, the SS system is unfortunately broken. Another major lie is that SS helps people after retirement or if they are disabled. Some, but not all that deserve it.
Lies.
This CIA bit really brings out the problem the people of our country need to address when the votes start. We need to lobby for laws making lies by our government officials a major felony without any pardoning (look at the Valery Plame case, what a crock that turned out to be with 'Scooter' getting pardoned!) We need to clean up the governments act and hold people responsible for their lies. On every level of government. Lies from a prosecuting attorney to get someone convicted? Give that attorney the max the law provides for the crime he was prosecuting. A rule/law like this for every level in government would almost stop the lies. Everyone knows its the TV people who run the world [crowd laugher]. I just got orders that Im supposed to be here, not there. Well the last talk I gave at this forum was on a light pleasant topic. It was about how humans are an endangered species and given the nature of their institutions they are likely to destroy themselves in a fairly short time. So this time there is a little relief and we have a pleasant topic instead, the new war on terror. Unfortunately, the world keeps coming up with things that make it more and more horrible as we proceed.
Assume 2 Conditions for this Talk
Im going to assume 2 conditions for this talk.
* The first one is just what I assume to be recognition of fact. That is that the events of September 11 were a horrendous atrocity probably the most devastating instant human toll of any crime in history, outside of war.
* The second assumption has to do with the goals. Im assuming that our goal is that we are interested in reducing the likelihood of such crimes whether they are against us or against someone else.
If you dont accept those two assumptions, then what I say will not be addressed to you. If we do accept them, then a number of questions arise, closely related ones, which merit a good deal of thought.
