This is Brilliant, my dear Watson
Most are familiar with the movies and novels that surround the fiction icon, Sherlock Holmes, and his well to do buddy, Watson. Now, picture the two in your mind I am pretty sure you are envisioning Sherlock as a paled skin, fairly dark haired man. And then Watson, a little older and possibly white haired (Or maybe those our just my imaginative juices). Now picture, Will Ferrell, famous for "Semi-Pro," "Elf," and many others as Watson. And Sherlock Holmes will be played by Sacha Baron Cohen most famous for the movie, "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Mae Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan." Hmm, I don't now about you but, if their is any mystery to be solved, it's why these guys were picked for the part! As a side note, it would be one hell of a comedy, if only Sherlock Holmes books were originally comedies..... Sherlock Holmes comedy movie with Cohen and Ferrell
Comedians Sacha Baron Cohen and Will Ferrell will star in the upcoming untitled film about Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick.
The makers say they plan to reverse the traditional relation ship of Sherlock and Watson by making Watson the clever problem solver.
Matt Tolmach, the co-president of Columbia Pictures, tells Variety, “Just the idea of Sacha and Will as Sherlock Holmes and Watson makes us laugh.”

Will Ferrell: "I'll finance Arrested Development movie"
During a college comedy tour, Will Ferrell told the student audience that he'd be willing to totally finance the Arrested Development movie, but it would have to be on his terms. He was wearing a bikini print t-shirt and driving around on a mobility scooter at the time, so don't expect too serious an answer. Skip to 2:30 in to watch it.

2008's Super Bowl ads - online viewing gold?
As a Brit, the Super Bowl means nothing to me. From what I gather it's a massively hyped sporting spectacle involving brass bands, truckloads of glitter and streamers, grunting and humongous fridge-shaped men with names like Todd Chipmeister who play for teams with very masculine, patriotic names like The Giants, The Raiders and, um, The Patriots.
What I do know is that Superbowl adverts are great. Ever since I saw Terry Tate: Office Linebacker in 2003, I look forward to watching them online. With a price tag of $2.7 million for a 30-second spot, advertisers have to go all out to get the attention of the 90 million viewers watching. The results are a collection of some of the funniest, weirdest and most engaging ads of the year.

FunnyOrDie Extends Into Extreme Sports
Will Ferrells FunnyOrDie video startup is spreading its wings with a new site: ShredOrDie, focused on extreme sports and hosted by pro skateboarder Tony Hawk.
ShredOrDie will seek to mix extreme-sports and celebrity culture in a manner similar to FunnyOrDies blending of comedy and celebrity, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Initial site content include Hawk interviewing Lance Armstrong, snowboarder Shaun White, Christian Slater and skateboarder Ryan Sheckler, along with a range of action videos from sports including skateboarding and snowboarding. ShredOrDie also will feature user-generated video.
FunnyOrDie has had a mixed reception to date, starting with a bang as Will Ferrells initial clips gained widespread viral views, to only give way to lower traffic. More recently FunnyOrDie saw another surge after hosting the spoof Eva Longoria sex tape. It will be interesting to see whether Ferrells model will successfully work in a different vertical.
