Battle of Destiny,the UK's Biggest Ever Beat 'em Up competition has gotten underway.
Players from across Europe are in London for the compo featuring:
Hyper Street Fighter II
Street Fighter III: Third strike
Tekken 5
and Capcom vs SNK 2
Up for grabs are 4 tickets to Las Vegas, to fight in Evo 2008, The American Championships, the Second biggest Competition in the world, held in August
Battle of destiny is receiving backing from Capcom and Ubisoft who will be showing off their latest unreleased titles:
Street Fighter IV
and Soul Calibur 4 (with Yoda and Darth Vader)
So aside from Tournament play, there will be casual (pressure free) games all day and a chance to play on Street fighter 4 machines

World Series of Beer Pong
In Vegas. Happening now (the picture lies - the sign ups are no longer open). Awesome! And the prize money has gone way up - it's at $50,000 this year!
The bar I worked at for 6 years in SF was responsible for the resurgence of beer pong in SF (we've had tables for at least 6 years now), and so naturally was the site of the West Coast qualifying round where they shipped off the winners to the finals.
