Angry mob beat man over death fall
AN angry mob chased and attacked a man yesterday after accusing him of being involved in the death of balcony plunge teen Ahmed Benyermak.
Ahmed, 16, fell 60ft from the seventh floor of a tower block as he tried to escape a gang by climbing down the building.
Around ten friends and relatives had been paying their respects at the scene of Wednesday’s tragedy in Hackney, East London, when one of them spotted a man and shouted: “That’s the one!”
A group gave chase, with one waving a baseball bat. The man — who is not wanted by police — clambered over a wall but the group caught up and began punching him before he managed to escape. Report: ultra-rich man flies Lamborghini to UK from Qatar for service
Oil money is fun isn't it?
A rich Arab has caused uproar after reportedly putting his Lamborghini on a 6,500-mile round trip to Britain — for an oil change.
The $376,000 supercar was put on a flight from Qatar to Heathrow Friday before being flown back after the service, the U.K.'s Sun newspaper reported Thursday.
The transport of the Murciélago LP640 – driven by Batman in "The Dark Knight" — would have cost the owner — believed to be a Sheikh — about $40,000, the paper reported.
The move sparked fury from employees at Heathrow.
“This car doesn’t have a carbon footprint — more of a crater,” one airport worker told the paper.
The overall cost of sending the black-and-gold supercar to London for the oil change would have cost more than $45,000, The Sun reported.
On Monday, the vehicle was flown back to Qatar. Oil money is fun isn't it? ... more -

How long till a Batman sighting?
THREE RIVERS, Mich. — Police in Michigan have arrested a man who they say tried to steal posters and other items related to the new Batman movie from a cinema lobby while dressed up as the Joker.
Detective Mike Mohney said Monday 20-year-old Spencer Taylor of Three Rivers has been booked for investigation of larceny and malicious destruction of property.
Taylor is scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 5 in St. Joseph County District Court.
There is no telephone listing under his name in the Three Rivers area.
Mohney says officers who were dispatched early Sunday to the theater arrived to find employees restraining a man wearing a purple suit, a green wig and face paint in the style of Batman's nemesis in "The Dark Knight." How long till a Batman sighting? ... more -
Burglar-beating hero's account of how he saved his kids
Two murderers armed with a gun and a knife were no match for one greying father who didn't take too kindly to seeing his kids get threatened. After the burglars broke into his house, victim Bernard Dwyer calmly complied with their demands but that didn't stop them beating him unconscious anyway. Conscious again and with nothing to lose, Dwyer unleashed the fury.
This man is brilliant and his detailed account of the incident and his Rocky-style comeback is an incredible read.

Walk of Shame
Two young men were meted out vigilante-style justice in Belfast last night, as locals paraded them through the streets wearing placards which detailed their crime and punishment, as decided by a local kangaroo court. One bore obvious signs of having been badly beaten up. Police were conspicuously absent. Speedcamera Superheroes!
A group of dedicated individuals calling themselves, Motorists Against Detection, or MAD for short, have been on a speed camera destruction rampage all summer. They have now issued a statement on their website saying that the next few months will be zero tolerance at the existence of speed cameras.
MAD claim that since their birth in 2000 they have taken out 1000 cameras, but I'm not so sure this is true. It sounds more like a fantasy club for people wanting to be real life super heroes but without the super hero power. Resorting to plain old fire seems to do the trick! Viva La Revolution!
