Edinburgh Military Tattoo (2007) Director Cut Part 3 of 3

The Edinburgh Military Tattoo is an annual showcase of some of the world's finest marching and cultural bands representing a vast range of countries bringing together cultures for everyone to enjoy. This year's Tattoo welcomes the Trinidad and Tobago Marching Steel Orchestra, the Middlesex County Volunteers Fifes and Drums, The Band of the Russian Conservatoire and the Taipei First Girl's senior High School Honour Guard and Drum Corps. Acts closer to home include the Massed Pipes and Drums of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, The Royal Corps of Signals, The Black Watch Regiment, 2nd Battalion The Royal Gurkha Rifles, the Scottish Universities Officers Training Corps, the Auckland Police, the Royal Caledonian Society of South Australia and the Royal Army of Oman. In addition to the pipes and drums, there is also the Massed Commonwealth Highland Dancers from Scotland, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and South Africa including the Imps Motorcycle Display Team, the Mounted Band of the Blues and Royals and for the finale, the Massed Bands of the Light Cavalry Band, the Royal Artillery Band and the Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland accompanied by the Kevock Choir. Edinburgh Mini Tattoo (2007) Director Cut

In August 2007, I took my Hi8 camera out again to film the annual mini tattoo over three days capturing the musical experience of the event and I now present it to the everyone in the world. The Mini Tattoo is an annual fixture in Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh next to the Ross Bandstand. The Mini Tattoo is as it's name suggests a mini version of the main show that is staged at Edinburgh Castle. I put a lot of effort into making this film and it took a long time to edit. Here is the Director's Cut which is ten minutes long and captures the best moments of the mini tattoo, enjoy. Royal Highland Show (2006)

Every June, An area of Edinburgh called Ingliston is transformed into four days of food markets, competitions, music and with a whole host of trading for farmers. I went along for the first time in 2006 and had a great day out watching all of the horses on show and the various competitions that took place such as sheep shearing. I intend to go back here next year and make a bigger film to really show the show off to it's full. From Edinburgh City Centre, there are buses put on that take you to the show ground which if your lucky is dry. Each day out of the four features different events and you may want to see something specific so do check out their web page at http://www.royalhighlandshow.org/ come along and I'm sure you'll enjoy it, in the meantime, take a look at this taster of the event; I made another film the following year which also shows some more of what you would see at the show.
