Sudan Frees Teddy Bear Teacher
Gillian Gibbons, the British teacher at the centre of the teddy-naming row, has been released from Sudanese prison, following a presidential pardon. She's set to be whisked in secret out of the country and back to Britain, following protests from scores of angry Sudanese muslims who called for her death. Congregating in Martyrs Square some chanted: "Shame, shame on the UK"; "No tolerance: execution"; and "Kill her, kill her by firing squad" with no apparent sense of irony.
