    • The Game Charged With Battery, Could Face Jail Time

They say blood is thicker than water. If you asked The Game [click to read], he’d probably prefer it the other way around.

According to TMZ, The Game is being charged with battery by the Hawthorne City Attorney's Office. The charge in question stems from a confrontation with his cousin Robert “Kirky” Kirkwood one month ago, where a dispute about money occurred during a family member’s funeral. After an exchange of heated words, The Game allegedly punched his cousin, who retaliated by calling the police and reporting the incident.

    • The Game - LAX ALBUM REVIEW

Over the course of his career, The Game has dared fans and foes to convince him that he’s something less than a superstar. Whether it be his emergence as a part of G-Unit, his numerous rifts with everyone from 50 Cent to Ras Kass or his run ins with the law, Game has made sure his name has been on the tip of everyone’s tongue. His debut album rocked Hip Hop’s foundation and his sophomore album held its own amidst turbulent circumstances that surrounded his career (separation from G-Unit, Dr. Dre, etc). As he approaches his third album, Game doesn’t have expectations of a debut album to go up against. Nor does he stare in the face of a sophomore slump. LAX is Game getting an opportunity to be Game – minus controversy or any other outside force pulling at him.

After DMX lends a prayer to open the album, Ice Cube shows up to raise the curtain on “State of Emergency.” It give the impression that Cube is present to perform the proverbial passing of the torch to his younger west coast brethren. But although Game arguably represents the finest the left coast has to offer, the crowning is just a bit premature – even on Game’s third album.

    • The Game Disses Eminem On New Song “My Life ft. Lil Wayne”

‘All the pictures of me and Em, I burned them,’ he raps in the L.A.X. song.

Coming off his song "Game’s Pain," it’s clear the Game’s mood isn’t getting any brighter. "My Life," another track from his L.A.X. LP was leaked Wednesday night. It features Lil Wayne and showcases more of Game’s wordplay and his very vocal torment.

"All the pictures of me and Em, I burned them," he raps, referencing Slim Shady. "So there ain’t no proof I walked through 8 Mile/ And so since it ain’t no Proof, I’ll never walk through 8 Mile/ Sometimes I think about my life with my face down/ Then I see my sons and put on my Kanye smile."

Later, he references Notorious B.I.G. "Biggie, Brooklyn’s Jesus, shot for no f—in’ reason/ And you wonder why Kanye West wears his Jesus pieces."

Game also talks about his own troubles, rhyming over the slow, melancholy track. "Hated on so much, ‘Passion of the Christ’ needs a sequel/ Yeah, like Roc-A-Fella needs a [Beanie] Sigel."

"You ain’t grindin’ till you die," Wayne sings on the hook, with some help from the Auto-Tune. "So I’m grindin’ with my eyes wide looking to find a way through the day/ … Dear Lord, you have taken so many of my people/ I’m just wondering why you haven’t taken my life."

Game’s next video, however, is more upbeat. It’s called "Dope Boys" and features Travis Barker. The two recently shot the clip in California. You’ll see heavy performances as well as some explicit images of hustling. Game’s L.A.X. is slated for release later this summer.

    • The Game Clears Up Eminem/Proof "Diss"

The recently leaked Game song featuring Lil Wayne titled "My Life" [click to listen] is already making waves on the internet. But it is not because of the obvious two top tier emcees on the song. The issue at hand is the version that leaked onto the net with Game spitting the following lines:

"You see them 24’s spinning, I earned ‘em/and all the pictures of me and Em, I burned ‘em/ so there ain’t no proof that I ever walked through 8 Mile/and since there’s no Proof, I’ll never walk through 8 Mile"

    • The Game: Man Vs. Machine

The game don't wait, at least that's what Warren G once said. However, The Game says that Hip Hop may have to wait on him to hear more after three largely-publicized, arguably classic albums. The third in the trilogy, L.A.X., is the topic at an early afternoon conversation in a Geffen Records corner office in New York City.

Surrounded by his homeboys from Compton and industry mastermind Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond, The Game discusses Hip Hop in its purest form. Spouting off artists of yesteryear, recounting famous battles and quoting lyrics, The Game might seem like an unlikely lecturer for the university circuit. However, The Game is both a diligent student of Hip Hop and one of its biggest headline drivers. The 27 year-old needs no inquisition to speak about separation from Dr. Dre, a self-proclaimed victory over G-Unit and a sleeping giant perspective on Jay-Z.

Although it seems it's impossible to get The Game to not be controversial, the first Compton rapper since his mentor to further the city's legacy seems to be about bigger issues than feuds, bravado and half-stepping rumors of retirement. Whether his promises are to be believed or not, the rapper who has been one of the few platinum superstars to still serve time, demonstrates his love of Hip Hop history, and use his underdog status to do what EPMD, Too Short, Master P and Jay-Z did before him - threaten to hang it up if we don't wake up. HipHopDX shows you an artist, a dreamer and a victim of circumstance - Game, the man, versus the machine.

Read what the Game has to say here.....

    • Britain's Seduction School In Session

In the past two years, a pseudo-science of seduction, filled with strategies and missions, has arrived from the West Coast of America to infiltrate British social culture. The Game, an account by the writer Neil Strauss of how these “technologies” transformed him into an arch sexual operator, has spurred the development of this subculture into fledgling industry. Seduction societies or “lairs” have sprung up across Britain – the largest in London has a cast of 3,000. Videos of men with Home Counties accents demonstrating their “game” on unsuspecting female targets have begun to appear on YouTube, and every weekend, from Bournemouth to Glasgow, groups of adherents go “sarging” for girls.

I want to see some of these Pick-Up Artists... These Sultans of Seduction... I've yet to be swooned.
