    • 'Many still have doubts' over 9/11

"More than 50 per cent of people reject the official belief that the attacks on the World Trade Centre on September 11, 2001, were carried out by al-Qaeda, a new survey has revealed.

The findings, released late on Wednesday, suggest that the official version of events - that the attacks, which killed more than 2,900 people and sparked the US so-called "war on terror", were carried out by al-Qaeda - is still a long way from being generally accepted.

Only 46 per cent of respondents named al-Qaeda, while 25 per cent said they did not know and 15 per cent said the US government was behind the attacks."

So...Who do you think was behind it?

    • 7 Years and Republicans Still Using 911 As Their TM

9-11 - The people's tragedy not the Republican! The Republican Party, stole the 9-11 appalling saga to further their neoconservative power agenda. After 7 years, they are still referring to it as something belonging to them. Vote for me and our country will be safe from another horrendous attack upon our soil. Vote for the other party and a violent infraction from some enemy will surely occur. We heard it solidly for the first four faux years of the neocon Bush administration, mostly to justify their illegal war. Now that Bush will soon sequester to the back pages of history under the subject, USA's worst presidents. Still, STILL, this party with NO shame, is using the tragedies of that infamous day in September 2001, when America was used like a stuffed leather bag, bludgeoned over and over again, to promote terror. They act as though they are saddened by the events of that terrible day but when they use it like a tool to get the power they so lust for, how can anyone believe their lament. Keith Olbermann, so poignantly put into words, how he feels, how I feel, how so many of you feel, the disgust and anguish we grip each time they use it as a prop.

At THEIR OWN CONVENTION, they used it AGAIN as a prop to bolster their standing amongst the American voters. A PROP OF FEAR! This party of disservice has no shame and they will go on and on lying, misconstruing and whatever it takes to keep power. They care not for this land that so many have died for. They live, breath and sustain only with one objective, to stay on the course of power whether or not they destroy the very thing they wish to control. It's time for all who THINK, who truly want the best for our country because we know it will belong to so many who will come long after us, to say ENOUGH! If this actually does not happen this election time around we may be a country so weakened by the avaricious blunders of the right-wing, we will become easy pickings for the power brutes of the world. Our epitaph will read... HERE LIES A ONCE POWERFUL, PROUD COUNTRY, BROUGHT DOWN BY THE UNSCRUPULOUS, WHO LIVED UPON ITS VERY SOIL, WHILE TURNING IT TO STONE. thinkingblue.blogspot.com

    • US marks seventh 9/11 anniversary

Memorial services are set to be held to mark the seventh anniversary of the 11 September 2001 attacks.

Nearly 3,000 people were killed when four planes were hijacked and flown into New York's World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania.

The presidential candidates, Barack Obama and John McCain, will attend a ceremony at Ground Zero in New York.

At the Pentagon, President George W Bush will dedicate a new memorial for the 184 people who died there.

The memorial in Washington was built at a cost of $22m (£12.6m) on a 1.9-acre (0.77-hectare) parcel of land within view of the crash site.

Mr Bush will attend the New York ceremony after standing for a moment of silence on the South Lawn of the White House at 0846 (1246 GMT) - the time that the first of the two passenger planes hit the World Trade Center.

It is the last time Mr Bush marks the anniversary as president.

The attacks are regarded as the defining moment of his time in office so far, and they had a huge impact on the foreign policy of his administration.

"The president thinks about 9/11 every single day when he wakes up and before he goes to bed," White House press secretary Dana Perino said on Wednesday.

Bansheewail, " I seriously doubt it Dana. Also, can you run out and grab us all some coffee and begals."

Most Americans are not aware that on September 10, 2001, Donald Rumsfeld declared that there was 2.3 Trillion Dollars unaccounted for in the Pentagons book keeping records. 2.3 Trillion dollars is equal to and even a little greater than the entire Federal Budget for an entire year in America, and is an awful lot of money. Roughly 8,000 dollars for every man, woman and child in America. Here is a link you can copy and paste to see the CBS article on this; http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2002/01/29/eveningnews/m... • my 9/11 story

Seven years ago, on September 11th, 2001, I exited the New York City subway at the Wall St station around 8:45 a.m. The first thing I saw was a huge crowd of people, hundreds and hundreds of people, gaping upwards. I followed their gazes to see the blaze in one of the towers. Immediately in tears, unsure of what had happened, I ran back down into the subway. I hopped on the 4/5 line that terminated at Battery Park instead of continuing to Brooklyn. Above ground there must have been thousands and thousands of people wandering around, gaping at the sight, trying to make sense of what was going on. At that point both of the planes had gone in.

I found myself standing next to a group of men from the New York Stock Exchange, crying. One of them asked me if I was all right. I said I didn't know, and asked him what happened. "Terrorism," he said. Another one volunteered, "you know it's serious when they close the stock exchange -- when they put people before money."

Waiting in line for the pay phone, one woman said "I saw the planes go in." In her wide eyes I could see that it was emblazoned in her mind forever.

Somewhere in Battery Park there's a Rodin bronze sculpture called "Immigrants," a jumbled mass of disheveled people, pointing, reaching, marveling at the abundance of America. The sculpture was situated such that those bronze people were all gazing awestruck towards the Twin Towers, just like all the rest of us, that day.

I didn't see the planes go in. I didn't see any bodies falling. Thank god.

The sound of the towers falling is indescribable; actually, it was less of a sound, and more of an event. I can't even remember that moment. I can't even contain that memory. The towers fell and everyone was running -- stampeding. Then the dust came, billowing through the streets, whiting out the whole region. I ran for my life. Somehow there was a man directing people towards the bridge. I followed his direction.

The mass exodus up the East Side Highway: thousands of people, all totally in shock. I have never experienced such a polite and docile crowd before in my whole life. Every fiber in my being said GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE, and so I was dumbfounded at the sight of the fire trucks rushing in, away from safety, towards danger. Sirens screaming. How can you overcome the pull of your body's most primal mechanism, flight? I watched those firefighters do it.

The moon was still out. "Luna, I still have work to do," I whispered to it. Resolved to live.

Suddenly next to me there was a short Salvadoran woman, Manuela. Her husband was in the tower. She didn't speak english. I took her hand and we walked all the way, together. Should we swim across the river? No. Take the Brooklyn Bridge? No. If there are bombs, we don't want to be on such a landmark. We walked up to the Williamsburg Bridge. I couldn't imagine being on the bridge for a second longer than necessary. So I ran. Manuela, I'll meet you on the other side. I sat and waited. She was coming across, crying. She didn't think I would wait for her. I took her hand again.

There were Chabad Jews standing on the Brooklyn side of the bridge, handing out cups of water. I looked back and saw that Lower Manhattan was enshrouded completely in dark smoke. Manuela and I walked all the way to my house in Greenpoint. A few hours later we learned that her husband survived, and later still her brother came to pick her up. I went to McDonalds -- still open -- and got a milkshake, just to feel something in my body. I finally managed to reach my parents in L.A. and let go into tears.

That day remains a turning point for me. My life split into two distinct chapters: pre-9/11 and post-9/11. I have work to do, I realized, and so I am doing it, and my work is infused with a deep gratitude for the opportunity to be alive, here in this most tumultuous of times.

    • Officials say documents tie scientist to Anthrax attack

WASHINGTON — A few days before the anthrax attacks of 2001, the scientist who has emerged as the suspect in the case sent e-mails with wording that was sometimes identical to the language used in deadly anthrax-laced letters that autumn, according to documents released by the government on Wednesday.

Moreover, the government said, the scientist, Dr. Bruce E. Ivins, was the sole custodian as a microbiologist at Fort Detrick, Md., of the particular strain of anthrax used in the attacks, although he was not the sole person with access to that anthrax.

The e-mails, whose recipients were not revealed, warned that Osama bin Laden’s “terrorists for sure have anthrax and sarin gas” and have “just decreed death to all Jews and all Americans,” according to the documents.

The documents, released on the orders of a federal judge, were made public to bolster the Justice Department’s contention that Dr. Ivins was the only person behind the mailings that killed five people and made at least 17 others ill while the country was still traumatized by the Sept. 11 attacks.

This week, Visibility 9-11 Welcomes Arizona State Senator Karen Johnson to the program. Long time freedom advocate, Senator Johnson recently drew fire in the media for her outspoken advocacy for the truth to come out regarding the September 11th attacks. On June 10, 2008, Senator Johnson gave an historic speech on the floor of the Arizona Senate where she honored Blair Gadsby, the 9-11 Truth Movement, and called for a new and independent investigation into the events of September 11th. Departing from the norm of providing an evidence based 9-11 informational resource, this interview focuses on a more personal side of the Senator, her background and motivations for America, media control, the hope for justice, and an end to false flag terrorism in America. This lady is the real deal and was an honor to have her as a guest on the program; don't miss this one. THANK YOU Senator Johnson!
