One of People's Most Eligible Bachelors Arrested on Rape Charges
A lawyer who was acquitted of two rape charges after being named one of People magazine's "Most Eligible Bachelors" was arrested Wednesday and charged with hitting a police officer who confronted him for urinating in public.
Gary Zerola, 36, was arrested near Faneuil Hall about 1:45 a.m., as fans celebrated the Celtics' victory in the NBA Finals.
Zerola unbuttoned his pants and turned toward the corner of a building, according to a police report filed by Sgt. David O'Connor.
When O’Connor confronted Zerola and ordered him to stop, Zerola struck O'Connor on the shoulder and fled before being tackled by officers a few blocks away, of my life that ended with a thud."
Zerola denied the charges and was released on personal recognizance.
His arrest comes days after prosecutors in Florida dropped charges that he raped an 18-year-old woman at a Miami Beach hotel.

People Magazine thinks all Asians look the same
"Apparently the editors of People have a bit of a problem differentiating between Asian males. On page 38 of this week's issue, in which an interview with Korean Speed Racer actor Karl Yune is accompanied by text identifying him as Korean pop star Rain.
Still, there are two reasons why the mistake is particularly unforgivable. One: Rain, who routinely places first in Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People" online poll, honestly looks nothing like Yune. Two: the story was written by someone named Alexis Chiu, whom we assume is Asian and should thus totally have known better."

BEYONCÉ and JAY-Z have tied the knot, People reports. The mag's source says the wedding happened early Friday night. "Jay wanted it to be a really private affair -- close friends and family." The mag also reports that after the wedding, the festivities continued at Jay-Z's Tribeca apartment, where the couple of six years enjoyed a luxurious party attended by celeb friends including GWYNETH PALTROW and CHRIS MARTIN.
According to OK mag, in addition to MATTHEW, TINA and SOLANGE KNOWLES, Jay-Z's mother GLORIA CARTER was also in attendance -- as were "Destiny's Child" members MICHELLE WILLIAMS and KELLY ROWLAND. Oscar De La Hoya A Dad...For the Fourth Time!
Oscar de la Hoya and his wife of over six years, Millie Corretjer, welcomed a new baby on Saturday, December 29, according to People magazine.
The little girl, named Nina Lauren Nenitte, was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico at 4:36 p.m. and weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz.
"We are so excited and blessed with the new addition to our family," de la Hoya said in a statement to People.
This is the fourth child for boxing's Golden Boy -- his son with Corretjer, Oscar Gabriel, shares his baby sister's birthday and celebrated his second birthday on Saturday.
