Today is the last day set aside in our schedule to get our questions answered from the candidates in order to make our BIG SHOW [PLUG: Tuesday January 8th 11e/8p on the CURRENT TELEVISION NETWORK].
I'll be honest, we didn't get much yesterday--the troops are tired and spirits are a bit low. But all the candidates were locked up in their hotel room yesterday preparing for the big debate--that's over now and today they've got to explain themselves--and for our sake, its got to be directed at us... CJ @ NH--Getting Credit for The Airport Pickup
Kristin Fisher ran over 24 hours late to Manchester--it wasn't really her fault you see--it was on purpose. She was covering the Iowa caucus for her local Little rock ABC affiliate and she needed a tardy slip--so we granted permission.
The only problem--everyone, their mother and chuck norris were trying to get from Des Moines to Manchester and we couldnt get her a ticket out on short notice. So she rented a car, drove to omaha--got on a plane, flew to newark connected to Manchester where I was a little late rushing to pick her up. All this mind you on 3 hours sleep doing 2 packages to the Little Rockers back home..
YOU BE THE JUDGE--did I get credit for the aiport pickup? In the end, we're still waiting on the baggage...

Derrick, Jordi and Steven Walk the Picket Line
CURRENT @ NH Primaries! If you vote on the basis of how many signs you pass days before you go to a polling place--then these picketers are calling you. No--they're not walking off the line at the local auto plant--they're getting awareness out for their candidates in what even the local news calls ARTIC WEATHER!
5 minutes outside and it hurts, 10 minutes and you start to loose feeling<--this is actually when it gets dangerous--and at the end of the day, for the faithful, if one more New Hampshire voter comes out for your guy or gal--it sure makes sleeping on the drafty floor of some passionate stranger's house all the much more redeeming.
CJs Derrick Shore, Jordi Lippe and Steven Tagle braved these conditions to find the people behind the signs...

Christina and Craig Check out the Diner Scene
IN election years, breakfast is no longer sacred. Upon entrance to any greasy spoon in a hot state everyone submits to the contract that everyone in diners vote and everyone who votes are in diners--maybe it started gaining traction in the 1992 when Bill Clinton frequented the Merrimack Diner smack dab in the center on Manchester on a regular basis--We catch Christina Heller, our resident CJ in Manchester and her associate Craig Goodale before they go back to the Merrimack and other to places they ACTUALLY frequent in real life as people who EAT and VOTE to examine a new study from the New England Journal of Medicine---Candidates at diner = Indigestion

War is a crazy place....But don't torture!
The rules of engagement for war have always eluded me--this idea you would take someone prisoner instead of killing them outright is something I dont really get. BUT, if you are going to take them prisoner--to uphold what's left of civilazation AND to make the argument that you're a good group of folks when it comes to WAR--you shouldn't torture.
OTHERWISE, you may just have people like JOHN McCain running for president of your country.. I say things work fine the way they are. Don't force me to pray for your god, and I wont have a problem if you're taking some time out to pray for yours. IM TELLING! :: Beckmann's way to Lower Taxes in San Francisco!
The whole thing with the SF liberals is that they pay taxes to other people so that they clean up their problems and then they dont have to get their hands dirty.
In New York City, the liberalism there is more based in the reality of having to directly smell and deal with problems just about everytime you leave your house.
So my suggestion on how to lower taxes here and other places--is to fine people who TELL ON OTHERS in cases where they could handle it themselves. Yes I'm talking about those people who had my car towed for parking a few inches over their driveway when they could have gotten out! This IM TELLING society in SF is really the only thing wrong with the place--otherwise it smells great, less filling! Should we stay or should we go now?--Both are STUPID MOVES!
Why does it always have to be THIS or THAT in this country? I wrote in this blog a little while back that we have many more options at our disposal--some of them ZANY, yes... but most of them would probably take stock of the fact that if our civilazation fails---its all becuase we could get past the BI-POLAR problem of TWO PARTIES, TWO IDEAS, GOOD BAD, YES AND NO--its what's between those that's always interesting.

You call that Health Insurance?
You've got to have it right? But if you do, it doesnt necessarily save the day--that's what they dont tell you. These medical insurance companies do EVERYTHING THEY CAN to not pay. Its basically a war of attrition in order to get payment out of these people... What's sad is that even if you're trying to do the right thing and be covered--your essentially naked in many regards anyway.. You've got to have it right? Ok--The Global is WARMING--but our solutions stink...
At this point, you can drive around in a GREEN hummer and people think you're helping the environment. I think there's a lot of double speak--inuendo and RED HARRINGS about the proposed solutions.For instance:Is the deal with carbon offsets that there are people out there that pollute less so I dont have to? Are these GREEN coordinators that companies hire just a bunch of bull so they dont have to actually do something about it? Yom Kippur in NYC--you need tickets and friends just like everything else....
The Beckmann kids from Ohio tried to rock it--or more likely atone for it--in New York City--a megalopolis with reportedly the largest population of Jews outside Israel. Depending on who you talk to and with consideration for inter-marriage... 1/8 or 1/9 people in NY are Jewish. About 1 Million Jews live there.... that makes it really hard to actually BE Jewish sometimes becuase on the High Holidays its like getting into an Arcade Fire concert at a small club in Williamsburg...
