Obama is wrong on ethanol
Obama has been making the rounds, extolling the virtues of corn-based ethanol, an incredibly energy-inefficient bio-fuel. It angers me that he does not acknowledge that sugar-cane ethanol is a much more environmentally-friendly and, in the long-term, cost-efficient bio-fuel. The only reason I can fathom he's pushing for corn ethanol is because it's produceable in the U.S., and therefore will garner him votes and support from Great Plains farmers and the American agricultural industry at-large. Cannabis Myth's Debunked
We hear a lot in press regarding cannabis and its effects on the human body.
"In the red corner" we have the hardened cannabis users who won't be told anything different. They've used cannabis for many years, with seemingly little or no ill-effect. They smoke pot, and they like it a lot, and nothing the government is going to say is going to change that.
Meanwhile in "the blue corner", we have the anti-cannabis brigade, with their tales of cannabis woe. Stories as published by the popular press, such as the Daily Mail for instance, who's editor Paul Dacre has made cannabis his own personal mission-in-life.
If this group is to be believed, cannabis is the root cause of a multitude of ailments including international terrorism. Regardless of the fact cannabis is now a prescribed drug in many global regions, politicians (and news editors) in Europe are still loath to even reference the fact this practice takes place. But it does!
They prefer instead, to concentrate on the 'party line', whichever party they are loyal too. And not giving cannabis a shred of credibility for being a truly beneficial plant which has never killed a single person.
We're not hear to sway you one way or another, but here are some interesting facts which you may enjoy reading. Rest assured there are no lies here. No spin doctoring. Just facts, whether you like them or not.

Cannabis less dangerous, less addictive than Starbucks lattes
Dr. Phillip Leveque has spent his life as a Combat Infantryman, Physician, Toxicologist and Pharmacologist.
http://pr.cannazine.co.uk : The argument for the use of raw cannabis as a medical drug has been rumbling on for literally decades, but successive governments have stuck by their guns, preferring to arrest and incarcerate legitimate cannabis using patients who may be suffering from a multitude of illnesses. Ailments which doctors in other countries such as Holland, the US, Germany, Belgium and Portugal to name only 5, are only to happy to sign a prescription allowing the patient to use cannabis to relieve their condition and symptoms.
Dr Phillip "Dogface" Leveque
According to a practicing physician based in Oregon in the US, a state which legalised cannabis use for medicinal purposes over 9 years ago, "marijuana is less dangerous and addictive than a latte from Starbucks". Which flies in the face of so called "medical experts" and their opinions here in the UK. So who's right and who's telling lies?

While the U.S. defends interest in the Middle East, poor Haitians next door eat mu...
The American government claims that our interest abroad,Iraq in particular,is for freedom of the Iraqi people. If that is true, how can we watch the on going suffering of the people in Haiti only hundreds of miles from the Florida coast. Worst than that, our government allows immigrants from almost any country except Haiti to seek political asylum in the U.S. Mexicans,Latins from Central America,Cubans, most people from Europe and all over the rest of the planet can come to America, except Haitians. Why is that? What is so bad about Haitian people that the U.S. coast guard will turn their makeshift rafts around in the middle of the oceans deadly currents, knowing that people who are only seeking freedom and a better way of life for themselves and their families, while being turned around will now risk death by either sea or political execution upon their forced return to the small famished, diseased stricken island..
Haiti people are so poor that baking of mud cookies has becomie a staple in the Haitian diet. Bcause it is normal, some people in America think that it is done more in tradition that it is out of necessity. It's mormal because of poverty. Shame on America. Shame on us as a neighboring country to ignore the Haitian people as if they just a bunch of diseased animals just waitig to die. Is love thy neighbor as thyself just a biblical fairytale ?
Would we allow the United States government to ignore this ambarrassing modern day atrocity to take place if Haitians were White and not Black ? I don't think so. We, as a Nation, are just as guilty as all of Europe was, that watched Adolph Hitler annihilate German's Jews. These are crimes against humanity. Some, with Christians with twisted minds, justify turning their backs on the small island south of Florida, by truly thinking that Haiti is really Hades, as in the Biblical place called Hell.

Does Anybody Anywhere Care About Truth Anymore !
Hillary Clinton did win the vote in the state of Pennsylvania last night, and it just make me wonder about whether or not corruption matters at all if your last name is Clinton. Most Americans think that the Peter Paul issue has gone away. Not so fast. The case is still being heard in the California courts, where maybe, just maybe, the Clinton's absolute power is not absolute enough to corrupt and influence the minds of the courts.Maybe in California, Peter Paul will get a fair hearing
Until then have an open mind and try showing just alittle unbiast courage in watching this film that shows that Senator Hillary Clinton is still involved in the largest case of fruad in election funding in the history of the United States of America.Ask yourself then, do you care ?

Judge grants Kucinich Entry into Nevada Debate
A Nevada judge said Monday that Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich must be included in Tuesday's candidates' debate in Nevada.
Senior Clark County District Court Judge Charles Thompson said if Kucinich is excluded, he'll issue an injunction stopping the televised debate.
The judge sided with a lawyer for the Ohio congressman, who says debate host MSNBC at first invited Kucinich to take part and then told him last week he couldn't.
A lawyer for the network said MSNBC decided to go with the top three candidates after the Iowa and New Hampshire primaries.
The judge called it a matter of fairness and said Nevada voters will benefit if they hear from more than just Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards. Secret DoJ Legal Memos: Bush Determines What Is Constitutional
When are you going to write your representative and senators?
From remarks just delivered by Senator Sheldon Whitehouse:
We will shortly consider making right the things that are wrong with the so-called Protect America Act, a second-rate piece of legislation passed in a stampede in August at the behest of the Bush Administration. It is worth for a moment considering why making this right is so important.
President Bush pressed this legislation not only to establish how our government can spy on foreign agents, but how his administration can spy on Americans. Make no mistake, the legislation we passed in August is significantly about spying on Americansa business this administration should not be allowed to get into except under the closest supervision. We have a plain and tested device for keeping tabs on the government when its keeping tabs on Americans. It is our Constitution.
Our Constitution has as its most elemental provision the separation of governmental powers into three separate branches. When the government feels it necessary to spy on its own citizens, each branch has a role. The executive branch executes the laws, and conducts surveillance. The legislative branch sets the boundaries that protect Americans from improper government surveillance. The judicial branch oversees whether the government has followed the Constitution and the laws that protect U.S. citizens from violations of their privacy and their civil rights.
It sounds basic, but even an elementary understanding of this balance of powers eludes the Bush Administration. So now we have to repair this flawed and shoddy Protect America Act.
Why are we in Congress so concerned about this? Why is it so vital that we energetically assert the role of Congress and the Courts when the Bush Administration seeks to spy on Americans?
Because look what the Bush Administration does behind our backs when they think no one is looking. For years under the Bush Administration, the Office of Legal Counsel within the Department of Justice has issued highly classified secret legal opinions related to surveillance. This is an administration that hates answering to an American court, that wants to grade its own papers, and OLC is the inside place the administration goes to get legal support for its spying program.

Paul Craig Roberts, a Republican who worked in the Reagan administration, is predicting a 9-11 type of attack before the 2008 elections. Wild stuff.
Paul Craig Roberts is an economist and a nationally syndicated columnist for Creators Syndicate. He served as an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury in the Reagan Administration earning fame as the "Father of Reaganomics".
