What's the deal with Rosh Hashannah?
Rosh Hashanah = Jewish New Year, and one of the most important holidays of the year, along with Yom Kippur 8 days later. The key tradition here is: between those two holidays you go around and tie up all of your loose ends from the year before, specifically apologizing to people you've had issues with and (!!) a mandatory acceptance of other people's sincere apologies. While I dont believe in God, I do love the traditions of religion, and especially this one. Starting each year with a clean slate is a fantastic ideal. So, I'll be coming to find you next week. (Oh, and we eat apples dipped in honey, cause it's YUMMY and we want a sweet new year.)
