GOP pulling O'Reilly strings with Obama Interview.
So instead of the interview being aired tonight , as promised, during the RNC, we got a small preview of the interview we've all been waiting for.
FNC only aired about 10 minutes worth of the interview. And now Lindsey Graham is speaking at the RNC and the first line of his speech is about how the surge in Iraq worked?
Why does this all feel strangely set-up?
O'reilly airs the part of the interview where he tries to get Obama to "admit that he was wrong" about the troop surge in Iraq.
They spend a few minutes "analyzing" on air, and of course commenting on the segment.. and now Lindsey Graham goes on a "rampage" about the troop surge?
It's almost as if they were watching the interview in the back room, and came out running with an immediate response.
Yeah, this was definitely set up . F.N.C and G.O.P. .. K.I.S.S.I.N.G So instead of the interview being aired tonight , as promised, during the RNC, we got a small preview of the interview we've all ... more -
Former POW says McCain is "not cut out to be President"
"To see McCain resort to playing the POW card when answering legitimate questions, in my mind, cheapens that experience. And by cheapening his own experience in war, he degrades all of our experiences in war. He turns the horrific incidents we've all seen, touched, smelled, and felt into a lame excuse to earn political points. And it dishonors us all."
-- Brandon Friedman, a veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan
John McCain has been exploiting his prisoner of war experience every chance he gets. He has used this story to justify everything from not knowing how many homes he has to his healthcare plan to his marital infidelities to his taste in music. The McCain campaign is even using his POW story in paid ads. But now a veteran who was a prisoner with McCain in Vietnam is explaining loud and clear that being a POW does not qualify McCain to lead our country. "To see McCain resort to playing the POW card when answering legitimate questions, in my mind, cheapens that experience. And by c... more -
Lizard Attacker Sentenced To Clean Up Roadkill
A woman who attacked her husband’s pet lizards with a kitchen knife will pay for her crime by cleaning dead animals off Kane County roads, a judge ruled Thursday.
Officers went to the couple’s home on April 2, 2007, after Tinsley reported a domestic altercation had occurred a day earlier. Officers saw blood on the floor and discovered the lizards -- iguanas named Fred and Ethel -- in a trash can, according to a police report.
Judge Grant Wegner said 38-year-old Sara Tinsley’s sentence was appropriate. She also was given 18 months probation, must undergo an anger management evaluation and pay $979 in fines, court costs and veterinarian bills.
Police said Tinsley had threatened to kill her husband's prized pets during a fight over the phone on April 2. After that shouting match, she turned on the lizards, police said.
The impact with the wall killed Ethel, but Fred survived the stabbing after a family friend brought him to a veterinarian, according to West Dundee Police Chief Dave Sawyer.
"She knew he loved the lizards," Sawyer said after the incident.
Harry Tinsley -- who turned himself in for questioning the same day police found his pets -- was charged with one misdemeanor count of domestic battery for pushing and choking his wife during the altercation the day before, authorities said.
The two bearded dragon reptiles were named Fred and Ethel; Ethel died and Fred recovered after surgery. Tinsley apologized in court Thursday and promised to not be violent toward animals.
Tinsley’s ex-husband is Harry Tinsley of West Chicago. He said there was some justice done, but thought the sentence should have gone farther. A woman who attacked her husband’s pet lizards with a kitchen knife will pay for her crime by cleaning dead animals off Kane County r... more -

McCain's temper strikes again and leaves him speechless (video)
John McCain has been the subject for many years of questions about his "uncontrollable" temper, with even fellow Republican Sen. Thad Cochran suggesting it makes him unfit to be president.
A touch of the McCain temper was on display Tuesday, when a reporter asked him, "In what ways did your experience in Vietnam prepare you for the presidency?" and McCain brusquely replied, "oh, please," and turned away.
In commenting on that reaction, Sen. Cochran told a Mississippi newspaper about an incident in 1987 where McCain grabbed a Nicaraguan envoy "by the shirt collar" during negotiations "and had snatched him up like he was throwing him up out of the chair" -- a story McCain said was "simply not true."
MSNBC's Dan Abrams asked his guests on Wednesday, "How big a deal is this for John McCain?"
White House correspondent April Ryan agreed that, "it's a big deal. ... America wants to know that their president can handle tough situations ... with an even hand and an even mind."
However, MSNBC's Turker Carlson found the whole topic ridiculous. "You've got to be kidding!" he laughed. "Knock it off! That's the dumbest thing I've heard in so long! ... I hope he grabbed that Sandinista official by the face and ground it into the desk. They were monsters! ... I think America wants a president with some backbone!"
"He's running for president of the United States, not Miss Manners," Huffington Post editor Roy Sekoff chimed in. "I mean, suddenly he's going to be disqualified because he gets a little hot under the collar and has a potty mouth?"
"I'm not talking about a potty mouth," retorted Ryan. "I'm talking about someone who will blow a fuse. Do you want that sucker? Hey, have it if you want it."
"I've never seen him blow any fuses," insisted Carlson.
"It's ludicrous," Sekoff agreed.
Dan Abrams then brought up Cindy McCain's lavish spending habits, with recent disclosures showing her running up hundreds of thousands of dollars on her charge cards in a month.
Ryan suggested that the story made McCain look bad at "a time when people are holding their pocketbooks and looking at the possible leader of the free world to make sure they understand their pain."
In this case, Sekoff agreed, saying, "The hypocrisy ... comes when Karl Rove tries to paint Barack Obama as a country club elitist. ... Cindy McCain is the real deal. ... This is not going to go over well with the American people."
