    • The REAL American Dream

      Illegal Immigration.

      What is it?

The term wasn't necessarily heard of before this century, or at least it wasn't very important.

It comes from the term "migration". Migration is a basic law of nature that cannot be changed and occurs when times are tough and beings just basically move.

Immigration is like migration, except the migrant moves to stay.

Now we are all hearing that this is made illegal, people are being deported in the hundreds every day. Normal people like us. People who work, who live on this land, who want to actually make something of themselves. People who quite possibly do not know or remember any other land but ours.

This country was founded by immigrants searching for a better life. These fellow immigrants are now making it impossible for other immigrants to do just that. The American Dream has been lost.

There are people out there who are trying to make a difference. Look at it this way:
remember the migration thing? It being a basic law of nature?

When this country becomes tough, people will go where it is nice or do something about it, that's just how it is. Apparently problems in other lands are larger than anyone can deal with right now. In the U.S. there is still a chance. There is talent here. There are people here who can make a difference.

The only problem is that the government has labeled them "illegal".

Join us to make our voices heard. You have to take small steps first before you can get somewhere you want.

Stop the limitation. Support the Dream Act, support The REAL American Dream.

    • Let My Partner Stay

Because same-sex marriages are not recognized in the United States, certain marital benefits, like the advantage of permanent residency for a foreign born partner, are denied to bi-national spouses. This commonly results in the foreign partner being forced to leave the United States, and their loved ones, behind. Brittany and Joanna's story is one of thousands. • Iowa Immigration raid - largest in U.S. history

So far this is the largest immigration raid ever in the U.S.
      390 immigrants were arrested.
By the end of the day, a large number of children were found to be abandoned in school, as their family members were arrested unexpectedly and did not pick them up.

    • We All Human

I am sharing the story of my young friends from Liberia who I met a year ago. They fled their country because of the violent civil war, and now their new home is Oakland, California. During this year as we have grown close, they have told me so many disturbing truths about how they are treated in their new community, which is a predominantly African American neighborhood. I always assumed that they would at least be welcomed and maybe even embraced by their black neighbors because of some shared connection. I was very wrong. But the reason I ask my friends to tell their own story is that they are angels of light and hope in the form of kids. They have somehow found their own way to rise above the abuses and make friends by being true to themselves and to their culture. My hope is that their story might spread the wisdom these young kids carry about how all people should treat each other. I am sharing the story of my young friends from Liberia who I met a year ago. • Music video about illegal immigration: what we witnessed & film we shot while ...

We were on a World Peace tour in Europe when we witnessed a boatload of people coming from Africa to Spain to escape the violence, disease and hunger they are living in. Some of the people were not alive as the authorities pulled them from the boat. We are also asked to hand over our cameras and film but one of us was able to escape with the film which is within our music video here. We did get back our other camera, but without the film. "I was going to America to do a very American thing, promote my book"

British artist, writer and self-styled dandy was turned away by US immigration recently after arriving in New York to promote his book. He once crucified himself for his art, had it filmed by Sarah Lucas to a soundtrack by Gavin Rosedale and then he promptly fell off the cross and ripped his hands along the way. He swam with great white sharks, he's been a gangster¹s toyboy and wasted £100,000 on prostitutes of every description. Now he has written a memoir about his drugging and whoring and clashed with US homeland security for being a dangerous undesirable.

Britain's debate over immigrant children in its schools was reignited this weekend. Some teachers say that the rising numbers of foreign pupils are putting some schools near breaking point. • China ahead of the US, yet again

      This time, it's political.

China has relaxed its ban on HIV positive foreigners. The United States of America has not.

Did you know this? Probably not. It's appalling. Not surprising, just appalling.

    • Fire Survivors, Immigrants arrested in Evacuation Center

Border Patrol agents, moved to help out at evacuation centers and with supplies, have taken advantage and arrest fire victims who happen to be undocumented immigrants. While this story accuses them of stealing (I call bullshit) there are reports of Border Patrol setting up check-points and harrassing these folks.

The population of some of these evac. centers is overwhelmingly Latino.

The only station covering this in the Los Angeles area is local Univision station KMEX-34. They've interviewed people in centers both in San Diego and San Bernardino where people are fearful and considering leaving the centers.
