But are you ready to be them! Activision announced today that Guitar Hero: Aerosmith will be launching in June for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii.
"Slated for release this June, this latest installment from the franchise with the #1 best-selling video game in 2007 puts players in the shoes of Perry (guitar), Whitford (guitar), and Hamilton (bass), as they rock out alongside frontman Tyler and drummer Kramer," said an Activision press release. "Gamers will experience Aerosmith's Grammy-winning career, from their first gig to becoming rock royalty, in a way that no other entertainment vehicle offers."

Madonna a Hall of Famer
Madonna is among next year's inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it was announced yesterday. She along with John Mellencamp, The Ventures, Leonard Cohen and The Dave Clark Five will be inducted at the "annual ceremony, to be held March 10 in New York."
A statement from Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation President and CEO Joel Peresman read: "The 2008 inductees are trailblazers ? all unique and influential in their genres. From poetry to pop, these five acts demonstrate the rich diversity of rock and roll itself."
Past inductees include music legends Aerosmith, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Al Green and Elvis Presley. Madonna is among next year's inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it was announced yesterday. She along with John Melle... more -

CMT taping in LA
It Takes One To Know One: We're talking giants here, and if you're going to honor one, like, say, Hank Williams Jr., you'd better line up other industry behemoths too. CMT gets that, so when they officially proclaim Bocephus a "Giant" at a taping in Los Angeles on Oct. 25, we can only hope the Gibson Amphitheatre can fit all this gigantic-ness in one room. Toby Keith and Aerosmith's Steve Tyler are now on board, joining the already gargantuan cast of characters that includes Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Kid Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Gretchen Wilson and Buddy Guy.
