LSU (and their Cheer Squad) Wins
No they aren't Saints cheerleaders even though the game was played in their stadium.
No, you are looking at the Golden Girls of Louisiana State University. The Girls added a little sex appeal but also a key component in last nights (non)game. The Golden Girls led Louisiana State University's Tigers to another BCS title. They cheered the defense on to several turnovers and drove the offense with the help of Matt Flynn to a very convincing win.
The championship is the second in four years for LSU, both under coach Les Miles.

LSU vs. Ohio State
It's time for the biggest game in college sports! The LSU Tigers take on the Ohio State Buckeyes today in what should be a fairly decent Championship game. With all the ups and downs in college football this year it is hard to say if these are the best two teams in the nation right now but they are both certainly worthy and deserving. Many people are picking LSU in this game with good cause. LSU has a great defense that comes up with big turnovers and have proven their ability to win in some pretty big time games.
However Ohio State isn't a huge underdog and could win this game if they ball rolls in their favor. Many people are simply looking to last years championship game as a way to measure this team which is pretty ironic. Since they lost last year the popular consensus is that this team will have the same problems (speed mostly) as they did against Florida last year. So whereas last year the Buckeyes were favorites they are now underdogs. This will just fuel their intesity as it did for Florida last year.
In the end LSU will win this game and the championship as I semi-predicted very early on in the year http://current.com/items/77730441_florida_vs_lsu). The defense is solid, the offense is clutch and they are playing at home.

Florida VS. LSU
Florida vs. LSU
Probably the game of the night for most college football fans. Good showing from both teams. The LSU offense looked really good with their two quarterback rotation and their defense just made big plays when they were asked to. That is, as much as anything can be, a sign that this team is for real. Oh and I have to mention the CALL OF THE WEEK, had to be LSU's decision to go for it on fourth down in the fourth quarter when they only really needed a field goal. This ballsy call sent a message to Florida and the rest of the country that said, "hey we can do whatever we want." This type of confidence comes from a team that will win every game this year besides maybe one. After this big win and USC pitiful loss, LSU has to be your HANDS DOWN favorite to win the cup.
Also even though the Gators lost, they are still an awesome team that might have won this game in Florida. Watch out for T-Bo, Meyer and company who are pumped up about this teams potential. Florida vs. LSU ... more -
NCAA Football's Top 5; Who Are These Teams
Looking at this weeks top 5, it is pretty clear who the top dog is (psst. its LSU) but past that it is sort of unclear who the other legit contenders are. California has a good team but I think they, like the rest of the Pac 10 was a little over rated this year. Come to think of it College Football is overrated this year! Which actually makes things pretty exciting if you live in Boston or South Florida maybe. This year unlike the past x years is sort of a wild card up for grabs season. It isn't likely that any team, besides maybe LSU and that is a big maybe considering they still have to go up against Kentucky, Auburn and Alabama. I watched Wisconsin vs. Illinois, USC vs. Stanford, and LSU vs. Florida this weekend. So check my other posts for commentary on the fooseball NCAA/Pro and Baseball. LSU has taken the number one ranking in the computer standings beating out previous number one USC. Doesn't it seem unfair to fall in the rankings after winning a game?
