    • WAKE THE FUCK UP!!!

Our world is being destroyed by only a few men.  While the rest of us are struggling to survive, our politicians and religious leaders are manipulating their followers and creating wars.  Our planet is angry and is starting to fight back.  The Bush family has decimated the Middle-east because they covet their oil reserves.  The religious leaders of the world have been brainwashing people for thousands of years by threatening them with damnation just to get them to do their dirty work.   Our planet is a living planet.  What happens when a living organism is threatened?  It does whatever it takes to survive.  Our planet will kill us if we do not correct our actions.  Global warming is real, but it is only the beginning.  In case you haven’t noticed there has been an increase in global disasters.  If we do not reverse our situation we’ll have no planet left to fight for. For as long as I have been alive The Bush family has been manipulating and falsely befriending the Middle-eastern leaders, and starting bullshit wars in order to get a foothold in Iraq.  ALL THEY WANT IS THE FUCKING OIL!!  WAKE THE FUCK UP!!!  They tell you it’s about democracy.  Guess what?  THEY’RE LYING TO YOU!!  The Bush family has allied themselves with Saudi Arabia (a monarchy by the way) who has supplied a majority of the world terrorists.  Gee, it’s almost like our government uses their terrorists to instill fear in the world in order to keep us down and out of the way.   Every religion since the beginning of time has manipulated people with fear of damnation and eternal suffering in order to get them to fight and die for their god.  Every religion has the basic concept of what is right and wrong.  Why then don’t they practice what they preach?  Because they are just as greedy as the rest of the world leaders.  The more people you get to follow you the more powerful you become.  The Catholic church, for one,  has gone as far as torturing people into believing in their god.  Isn’t it our choice to believe whatever the hell we want?  Isn’t that what freedom of religion means? I for one am finished with all of the deceit and destruction.  We as a people of Earth need to take a stand against those responsible for the turmoil in the world.  WAKE UP, STAND UP and BE STRONG!!  SAVE OUR PLANET!!!             Sincerley Awake, SMR  Our world is being destroyed by only a few men.  While the rest of us are struggling to survive, our politicians and religious leader... more

No, On Prayer In School, But We All Should Pray!!
The reason Ole Funky Fingers says this is because
We cannot assume all kids have a religious preference.
Or even believe in the same religon. Instead of putting
Prayer in schools we should put more educational resources
Ie: Computer Labs, After School Programs, Job Training Coures.

    • Prayer in School

I think that all students should be able to pray in school. It's not going to hurt anyone if there is a silent prayer. I prayed when I was in school over meals, before during and after class. Also before during and after a test. I prayed that I got good grades, the teachers had the correct information handed out at the correct time. Also so that I would pass with ease and take in the knowledge that was valuable. I didn't persue anyone to convert over to my belifes and they didn't try to convert me. But if someone asked I would answer them.

Like the bible says confess with thy mouth in public, don't deny me & I won't deny you.

I feel like we shouldn't be trying to tell eachother what religion is best but while praying if asked don't be shy to speak out. I'm a studing to be an Evangelist at this time. So if you have any questions for me I will do my best to answer them if not I'll find out the answer for you & get it back to you.

      Yours in Christ

praying in public takes away from the intamacy of prayer especially if others have to be forced to partake.

    • What they're in school for.

The main reason kids go to school is to STUDY.
Not to pray or make it a religious thing, kids go to study and earn a future.
Thats good for them if they beleive in their religion, but they shouldnt have that as a main point of their school, they have time out of school to pray, they should just keep the schools as a place to study and to get an education,

    • Prayer In School - Take It Away, And You Take Away Why This Country Was Founded

Watch my video and tell me what you think. I don't believe the government or anyone else should have the right to take away prayer in school. It breaches two fundamental american rights - freedom of speech and freedom of religion. Students that share the same beliefs should be able to pray, prayer is very important to religious people like me. If a coach is religious, and there are religious players on the team, they deserve the right to be able to pray to god for strength. If there is someone in the group who doesnt pray, he does not HAVE to take part. Prayer gets us through the toughest things in our lives. Don't take it away Watch my video and tell me what you think. • I was raised in and out of schools with prayer

There are different schools for specific reasons. Currently I attend Pflugerville High School. Its in Texas unfortunately. I have noticed that the board is slipping through loop holes in the system using literary text to pressure Christian beliefs on students. I myself am agnostic though raised in a Christian family. my first school was a Christian based school. With mass every day. Though I run with beliefs more based upon that of atheism. Though at the same time i hold a high level of respect for that of other religions from Muslim - Christianity its-self. I believe that there are school that are created based on churches and religion and thats where that should stay. Public schools are created in order to get an eduction based on freedom of religion. A place where as a student I can go to learn, and at the same time not feel that I'm being repressed. So my answer is that religion should be removed from schools. If it comes to where religion and school interface each other than keep it at those specific based schools. There are different schools for specific reasons. • Prayer with Who What Where?

This is a great topic because it hits home with a personal belief system within ones self, and the desire to share it with others. Where it looses me is based in the premise that the world and its religions are very big and diverse and by only allowing prayer, it is excluding several other practices. The solution is simple. . .Allow prayer, but also allow meditation, communion, yoga, tai chi, and so on letting the children decide for themselves what is the best way for themselves to commune with their version of God. This is a great topic because it hits home with a personal belief system within ones self, and the desire to share it with others. Wh... more

    • Does Jesus Want Prayer In School?

With all the fuss about prayer in school, is anyone taking a theological look at what the Bible says about prayer? Jesus, the man we Christians believe to be the savior of the world, said this about prayer:

5 "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. [Matthew 6:5-8, The Bible]

I followed Jesus when I was in school and I prayed in school all the time, but I didn't need it to be school or state sponsored and I didn't need to rally around a flag pole to show everyone that I had the right to pray. I just secretly communicated to God what was on my heart.

This approach I think is Biblical and it respects the freedom of every individual and culture. So let's stop having this conversation, and focus our time and energy on other things. For instance, Jesus also said we should take care of the widows and the orphans.

Maybe if we could get all of those Christians who are so hell bent on getting public prayer in schools to adopt an orphan and care for a widow, the world would actually be a better place and schools would probably take notice of how their secret prayers and loving actions are working to restore a broken world, but thats just my viewpoint.
