Looking for Torch
Despite up to the nanosecond text blasts--Amira Diamond and Melinda Kramer couldn't find any of the re-routed, police blockaded, Olympic torches...but we did wind up with one of the Olympic Torch Bearers, Majora Carter (www.greenforall.org), after yesterday's San Francisco protest against China's occupation of Tibet.
We're making the moral of stories these days--you can take the torch from the torch bearer's hand, but the torch of her heart...now that's another story. The passion and peace of the people LIVE.

One of the thrills of working at Current is that you can smooth talk your way into exclusive parties. When our very own Joe Brilliant went to bum a cigarrette, the fellow demanded we tell him a joke for a smoke. We won!
