The way i see it, the time for carrots is over. And, how would this hurt small businesses?

Lights Out Los Angeles is a city and county wide energy conservation event on Oct. 20, 2007. We invite the entire city and county of Los Angeles to install one compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL) and turn off all non-essential lighting for one hour.
Our country's growing appetite for energy must be controlled to protect our planet from the effects of the climate crisis.
We estimate that turning lights out in Los Angeles for even one hour could save as much as 15 percent of the energy consumed on an average Saturday night. Get Involved!
