JT to help Madonna 'bring the sexyback' to the Hall of fame
Music icon in his own right, Justin Timberlake is set to induct the original material girl, Madonna next month at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The ceremony is set to take place March 10 at Manhattan's Waldorf-Astoria Hotel and in addition to being honored at the New York ceremony, every inductee is commemorated within the I.M. I saw De La Soul once and as a complete surprise Phife Dawg came out and played 4 or 5 Trice Called Quest classics. It was one of the greatest days of my life.
On Sunday night Win and Régine got with the Boss and played "State Trooper" which the E Street Band hadnt played live for over 20 years. They also played "Keep The Car Running." The Canadians yelling "oh my gaaaadddd" are the best part of the clip. Oh a time to be in Ottawa. John Peel Day. Let's celebrate a great man
John Peel was as unique as they come, in that he was comfortable being nothing but himself on the radio, in spite of what was said of him, and in doing so became a maverick of the UK music scene. He flew the flag for small bands, world music artists and terrible but completely authentic acts that no-one else would play. I loved him for that and for his endearing honesty about life.
