Following the theme "Triumph & Tragedy", this documentary depicts the U.S. Eugenic legislation throughout the early 20th Century and chronicles the compulsory sterilization faced by many Americans. • Kart Vader VS Rendez Vous, a contrast in Street Racing Styles

People always talk about Rendez Vous as the ultimate street race video, but Kart Vader is the real deal! No fake audio or mystery cars.

Kart Vader is out of his mind and I love it. Lucky he survived!

The real question is, why do both these segments take place in French-speaking parts of the world?

Rendez Vous was filmed in Paris in the 1970s, and Kart Vader is filmed in Quebec in around 2004. I will admit that the Parisian version does have a more artistic appearance, almost Hitchcockian in feel. Kart Vader, being a Quebecois home video, has more of a “Jackass”, lo-fi, Guerrila quality.

There must be a genetic link to why the French come up with this crazy stuff. I do not think this is a coincidence.

    • A Nascar driver named Jacques?

Formula 1 champion and Indianapolis 500 winner Jacques Villeneuve started his first Nascar cup race in Talladega, Alabama. Yesterday he ran his second Nascar truck race at Talladega, but got caught up in a late race crash. He joins Juan-Pablo Montoya as F-1 and Indy drivers who've mad the move to Nascar. I think the expansion of Nascar drivers to someone other than white American males is great. I'd like to see more diversity including women and blacks.

Talladega Nights is totally echoing in my mind.
