Ending the corruption circles that run college football and the BCS...
Year in, and year out, the upstairs politics in college football do everything they can to make sure that the SEC, Big 12, and Big Ten reap in the benefits from the BCS year after year despite not necessarily outplaying the competition in the Pac 10, Big East, and mid majors year after year... Tsk Tsk Tsk Reggie Bush
In an upcoming book, a would-be San Diego sports marketer provides new details regarding allegations that he gave Reggie Bush tens of thousands in cash while Bush was still at USC.
"Tarnished Heisman" shifts much of the focus from Bush's parents -- who also allegedly received benefits -- to the star running back. However, while the book hints that USC coaches may have known about some of the arrangements, it does not provide evidence that any school official was aware of alleged improper gifts.
Hmmm...what a surprise that Pete Carroll is suddenly strongly considering returning to the NFL - just as his program could face sanctions if violations are proven. Go, Pete, go! BCS to explore modified playoff
In an attempt to suck even more, it looks like the BCS is going to consider seeding the Top 4 teams, having the BCS Championship Game and THEN add a "Plus One" game. Confused? You should be.
Luckily the Pac-10, Big-10 and Rose Bowl aren't interested.
Plus One would potentially seed the top four teams in the final BCS standings. No. 1 would play No. 4 and No. 2 would play No. 3 in two of the major BCS bowls, and the winners would then play for the BCS title.
Swofford admitted Plus One would not solve the controversies that have often plagued the BCS since its inception in 1998.
If Plus One was used this year, Georgia and USC, two of the hottest teams in the country, would not have made the cut. Georgia finished No. 5 in the BCS standings; USC was No. 7.
Can we ever just get a playoff and end this nonsense? Please? In an attempt to suck even more, it looks like the BCS is going to consider seeding the Top 4 teams, having the BCS Championship Game ... more -
Wounded Warriors
I was at the game last night, and it was not pretty. :( My unbeaten home-team is unbeaten no longer in the worst way. Star QB Colt Brennan had a horrid game, so the team didn't get to show what they're made of, and the thousands of fans who made the trip from HI to the Big Easy leave disappointed.
Still, a season to remember for HI - the best our little state has ever done. I was at the game last night, and it was not pretty. :( My unbeaten home-team is unbeaten no longer in the worst way. Star QB Colt ... more -

Arkansas latest team in the coach stealing business
So, after Michigan unsuccessfully tries to snag LSU's head coach during the season. Nebraska snagged one of LSU's coordinators. Ole Miss joins the fun and takes Arkansas' head coach, and now Arkansas is on the prowl.
Supposedly, Arkansas just finished talks with Tommy Bowden of Clemson, but he turned it down. Moving a little north, they've spotted another successful coach in Wake Forest's Jim Grobe.
Sounds kind of crazy to me. How can the NCAA let coaches consider other jobs before their seasons are over? So, after Michigan unsuccessfully tries to snag LSU's head coach during the season. Nebraska snagged one of LSU's coordinat... more -
