SMART SHORTIES is a project by SPARK THE MIND that utilizes the most popular hip hop songs to teach mathematics. The project caught the attention of several school districts and record labels. SMART SHORTIES has been turned into a film, which will be out late 2008. Actual students help to write to lyrics and hooks. As fate would have it, all the writers ended up with a recording deal.
