Unity Mural by American Artist
Unity Mural is a series of paintings of Woman Spirit and Man Spirit figures in the center of a circle that span the spectrum of divine energies embodied in jewel colored multi-layered and multi-media art by American Artist Charleen Touchette. Beginning with a life-size charcoal body print made in 1974 and 1975 in New York, Touchette's new paintings in 2007 and 2008 made in Santa Fe explore the multi-colored palette of human and spiritual manifestations. This series is current and ongoing and more paintings will be posted soon.

This painting is from Unity Mural; a series of paintings of Woman Spirit and Man Spirit figures creating a circle of energy and light. The colors span the spectrum of energies embodied in this jewel colored multi-layered and multi-media art by American Artist Charleen Touchette.
Beginning with a life-size charcoal body print made in 1974 and 1975 in New York, Touchette drew sketches of the prototype for this series over 30 years ago and has returned again and again to the motif throughout the decades. The Unity Mural is a series of new paintings made in Santa Fe in 2007 and 2008 that utilize many layers of watercolor, pastels digital printing, colored pencils, and multiple scanning, printing, and drawing and painting to create images that explore the multi-colored palette of human and spiritual manifestations. Icaros: Spirit Songs of the Amazon
Traditional Amazonian healers or curanderos, claim the spirits of the plants communicate with them through lullabies, called Icaros. Every being in the rainforest has an Icaro and its melody alone is believed to possess curative powers. These songs have been described as the "quintessence of shamanic power."
An Icaro's primary function is to call upon the spirit of a particular being. For example, a curandero will sing a plant's song while preparing and administering it as a medicine to invoke the spirit of the plant as an ally in healing.
While there has been little research conducted on Icaros, we do know that the songs are used to call defenders (arkana icaros), cure specific illnesses, reinforce the effect of medicinal plants, attract the love of another (huarmi icaros), call the spirits of the deceased, cause rain, wind or thunder, for bewitching, for hunting or fishing certain animals, and for curing snake bites.

i'll help you relax
i recorded this, and all of my piano improvisations with a tiny flip camera. i think the audio is exceptional for such a small, cheap digital camera, and the lens is nice and wide, too. let me know what you think of my music, please.
