    • Traditional Dancing in Thailand

From http://intheknowtraveler.com. I was at this year’s Thailand Travel Mart in Bangkok. Among the endless meeting with colleagues around the world, there was some entertainment. Here was the finale of the dinner show featuring me stumbling around the stage while real camera crews from Asia captured the event. From http://intheknowtraveler.com. • One of the New Seven Wonders: Chichen Itza

Chichen Itza is one the “ New Seven Wonders of the World” poll. Deservedly so. I was amazed by the size of the area and incredible architectural developments of the Mayan without the aide of a laser level, 18v cordless drills, sanders, carbide bits, or Home Depot.

What is more amazing is that twice a year, for only an hour, on equinox (when the day and night lengths are the same), and with clear skies, the pyramid creates a shadow on itself… Fortunately Paco and his 40 years of service at Chichen Itza can describe it better and I was glad to have my cameras – otherwise I might not believe it. Check out another ITKT video.

    • Checking the San Juan Marriott

First off, I loved San Juan. To me, San Juan has so many great things about that I would hate to have it all squeezed in in one place, I will have more on San Juan, Puerto Rico on ITKT soon. Right now, I want to focus on a specific part of my trip. The place where I laid my head, had breakfast, dinner, enjoyed some great San Juan skylines and used as my hub for traveling the city, the San Juan Marriott. I met with the big cheese at the San Juan Marriott, Julian Cable-Treadwell for the In The Know perspective on San Juan and the Marriott. First off, I loved San Juan. Fortunately, I caught up with the beguiling Evangelina of Argentina Tourism at the recent Los Angeles Times Adventures in Travel Expo. So I can hear about Buenos Ares and get something about the more cultural elements of the Andes. After I returned from Rio de Janiero I remember thinking, how have I missed Buenos Ares.
