Students have one week to write, shoot, and edit a short film incorporating four elements determined by the committee: line of dialogue, place on campus, character, and object. They are then shown and judged. Prizes awarded to the top three films.

7 Students Killed in Beach House Fire
A group of students spent the weekend in a North Carolina beach house that belonged to the parents of one of the students, relaxing and enjoying the beach before the weather turned too cold. Six University of South Carolina students and one Clemson student were killed, while 6 other South Carolina students survived. Investigators believe the fire was accidental and that it started on a deck. The names of the fatalities have not been officially released.
