Larry Charles: "Jesus Didn't Exist!"
Real Time comedian Bill Maher and Borat director Larry Charles are men on a mission: to destroy society's blind faith in God. The medium they chose to convey their doctrine is not a dusty old book, but an entertaining documentary which highlights the ridiculous aspects of religion, hence its name, Religulous.
In an effort to spread their brand of enlightenment, Charles and Maher embarked on a romp around the world, questioning religious beliefs in the places they began and the palaces they paid for. The duo returned from their three-month pilgrimage with oodles of often-funny footage, much of it shot guerrilla-style as with Borat. Stringing interviews together with biting commentary and incisive footnotes, (to quote Kazakhstan's most famous fake export) they present their "cultural learnings" which they ultimately hope may "make benefit" of our "glorious" globe.
I chatted with Charles, who mastered absurdity while working on Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm, and took the opportunity to challenge a few beliefs of his own.

Bill Maher's New Rules segment last night and his words on the Democratic primary race and the Internet in general were right on. I think some need to take a chill pill about this primary. In the New Rules segment on Friday nights Real Time with Bill Maher, he starts out by criticizing Barack Obama for saying he was going to take the gloves off during the Democratic debate earlier this week, only to get caught checking out Hillarys backside as they passed on stage. He also takes aim at the income disparity in the U.S. and the Dittoheads who are being had by the Republicans and has a fine idea for the upcoming holiday season.

Tucker brought it.
finally, some actual, balanced, elevated, sophisticated debate and discourse on Real Time.
It has been a long time since I've seen a conservative really call Maher on his sh!t.
In this clip, Tucker makes a great point about how Bill (and liberals (current?contributors)) take relentless, vicious, cheap, personal shots at republicans .....just like the gop-minded(backed?) pundits do toward the dems.
It just seems soooo counterproductive to debate/draw attention to anything other than the issues at hand.
I love Bill's show just as much as the rest of the current libs....but not half as much as I did back when he was on network tv and showed more of his conservative streak....
I think the hollywood/LA scene has totally polarized/jaded his opinions and rendered an otherwise beacon of truth and sensibility.....useless??delusive? ineffective!!
His show has pretty much descended into a partisan love fest (kind of like a certain tv network....) I hope this episode is a swing back to the good old days of Politically Incorrect when fair, balanced, HELPFUL discussion reigned supreme.

related: I hope you guys do away with the "I support this / I don't support this" paradigm on the site BEFORE it goes public...especially for the "viewpoints" they are not campaigns, politicians, or referendums.
talk about further polarizing your audience and the population...wow...outrageous.. what about the f-ing grey areas?! ugh.. what good could possibly come out of this?
If current insists on maintaining some type of primitive voting system..please at least add a yellow light option....or use your collective imaginations....
