"Rights" ( aka Temporary Priviledges ) by George Carlin
Another great Carlin skit on "rights" that some people deem "god given". This was so relevant to what's going on now in our country that i had to put it up along with the others i put up. He was angry, loud, outspoken and dead on right in his views. Listen and you might learn something. R.I.P George. Another great Carlin skit on "rights" that some people deem "god given". Hillary votes against FISA while Obama votes for it
I am so damn proud of Hillary. I can't tell you how happy I am.
Dear Obama supporters, if you are reading this, it is not to late. Hillary can still be our President!
News from the blogosphere
"This is too good. Having once promised to filibuster any FISA bill with telecom lawsuit protection that reached the Senate Floor, Barack Obama today voted in favor of the compromise FISA bill pushed by President Bush. The left-wing base of the party is beside itself, as expected, but there is another interesting wrinkle to this story.
Hillary voted no. Captain Ed raises the delicious question: is she setting herself up for a netroots push at the convention? Please let it be so! (from Jim-Rose)"
"Okay. The Obama folks won’t like the reaction that Obama’s hypocritical vote on telecom immunity will spawn. My prediction is that this will spawn a movement to put Hillary back on the ticket. Don’t think so? If you don’t think so you are underestimating the damage that Obama has done to his shiny new brand for “change.” This is not change it is just doing the same thing as the rest of the gutless and complicit Democratic leadership. Read the following article if you underestimate the damage that this vote has done to the country and perhaps Obama’s campaign. And my Obama friends, if you think “hypocritical” is too strong a word, read the actual record of the statements that our hero has made.

A Patriot's Act
In the midst of a mid-morning rush
a middle manager shreds lettuce
for her ceasar salad
simotaneously selling shares of stock
from her sprint phone.
Seemingly never tongue-tied
yet tettering betwixed business boon
and bankruptcy.
In her haste and high heels headed
for a fall foward, only to keep her feet.
In the next moment she wretched back,
sure to lose them.
She was not all whole.
As her face flushed the flip phone
fell to the floor,
muffle-mouthed gargles interpret
into garbled screams.
Mascara runs in the same fashion
as the crimson tear-dropped from
her lips,
remaniscent of cult classic vamps.
This was no faux Fangoria,
her essence spurted onto the
deathbed of lettuce.
Overlooking her liberties the lady
jumps at the site of her severed tongue.
Her eyes widen as if some grizzly mystery
exposed a betrayl of her senses,
while the tongue wriggled and salivated
in caesar salad dressing
flopping,
whrithing in a whisper,
"Et tu, Brute?"
She was searching.
A call to action, a call to arms.
A call to 911.
Her impending doom towered over,
but she knew there were those
to answer the call of duty.
Those who would come to mend her
in the face of death.
Such deep dependence,
undoubtedly the death of one death
brings a dual demise.
Several sadistics surely would take
satisfaction in the subtraction.
Yet swiftly slice off her salary
due to her silenced state.
Satanic swines believe workman's comp
is a backstabbing competition.
However, she collects herself,
calm cool and comtemplative.
Full of pride her head held high
and waited.
Holding back the plasma,
her lips a levy.
How long before the jawline
cracks the body of Katrina?
She wasn't phazed,
In her afghan she stands,
Closed eye, racked with pain,
as if her very culture bleeds.
She is still trying to hold back the blood,
dripping and pooling.
Desperate to be mended,
to be liberated by the savior of her free speech.
She is still waiting.

Prayer In School - Take It Away, And You Take Away Why This Country Was Founded
Watch my video and tell me what you think. I don't believe the government or anyone else should have the right to take away prayer in school. It breaches two fundamental american rights - freedom of speech and freedom of religion. Students that share the same beliefs should be able to pray, prayer is very important to religious people like me. If a coach is religious, and there are religious players on the team, they deserve the right to be able to pray to god for strength. If there is someone in the group who doesnt pray, he does not HAVE to take part. Prayer gets us through the toughest things in our lives. Don't take it away Watch my video and tell me what you think.
