Wii Fit underwear girl is YouTube sensation
The clip, which was filmed by the woman’s boyfriend and posted on the internet without her knowledge, has been viewed two million times.
Titled "Why every guy should buy their girlfriend a Wii Fit", it shows 25-year-old Lauren Bernat doing increasingly fast hula hoop motions dressed only in her pants and a T-shirt.
The Wii Fit, which went on sale in Britain in April, is on course to be the biggest selling fitness device in history.
More than 300,000 copies of the game were sold in its first two weeks on the shelves alone.
The game allows Nintendo Wii owners to do a range of exercises and stretches - including slalom skiing and hula hooping - under the guidance of on on-screen fitness expert.
Giovanny Gutierrez, 30, who filmed the footage of his girlfriend Miss Bernat in their Florida home, said that she had now forgiven him for posting in on the internet.
"She was furious when she found out. She called me on the phone screaming her head off and then hung up on me," he said.
"But she now finds herself laughing about it and enjoying her 15 minutes of fame as the Wii Fit girl. It's just crazy how it's blown up." The clip, which was filmed by the woman’s boyfriend and posted on the internet without her knowledge, has been viewed two million tim... more -

FAIL: "A much more efficient way to express disdain"
Andy Baio writes:
"Part of the problem is that "FAIL" implies objective truth, when it's just your personal opinion. Tantek Çelik pointed out that, in LOLspeak, "DO NOT WANT" would be more appropriate since it clearly conveys a personal opinion.
I know many people who make stuff for the web, all of them very passionate about what they do. And every time I see a "FAIL" assigned to their work, it makes me sad. Yes, I know you're trying to be funny. But I'm starting to see a trend away from the funny, and towards the angry, bitchy, or mean. So please, mind yer words."
The interesting thing is, most people overlook the implications of fail vs. personal disappointment. Fail equates to totality, as where anyone can express disappointment in spite of somethings success.
Are we willing, as a culture, to dive headfirst into this level of inconsideration of one another's efforts? Andy Baio writes: ... more -
Rick-rolling the Church of Scientology
This is fascinating. An Internet meme hops out of the virtual space to become a real world method of protest. These protestors Rick-Roll a local Church of Scientology. How is that? Do they shut down their web browsers with their smooth tunes of Rick Astley? No! They stand out front of the doors with a boombox! This is fascinating. Laugh-Out-Loud Cats
Adam Koford, AKA Ape Lad, writes: "Not many people know this, but my great grandfather Aloysius 'Gorilla' Koford, was also a cartoonist. From 1912-1913 he produced a comic strip that was featured in 17 newspapers, including the Philadephia Star-Democrat, the Tampa Telegraph, and the Santa Fe Good-Newser. The strip was entitled 'the Laugh-Out-Loud Cats' and featured the exploits of one Meowlin Q. Kitteh (a sort of cat hobo-raconteur) and his young hapless kitten friend, Pip. The strip did not last long due to a run-in my great-grandfather had with none other than William Randolph Hearst."
Koford's pen-and-ink cartooning--and his understanding of LOLcat dialect--gorgeously channels George Herriman's 'Krazy Kat' comic strips, with touches of 'Mutt & Jeff' and Thomas Aloysius 'Tad' Dorgan's work. But enough of this highbrow talk: all that is really required in admiring Koford's cartooning, is that you think the phrase "I has a flava" is funny. Adam Koford, AKA Ape Lad, writes: "Not many people know this, but my great grandfather Aloysius 'Gorilla' Koford, was also a cartoonis... more
