Patriot's Cheating again?
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The NFL has suspended New England Patriots running back Kevin Faulk for the team's opening game against the Kansas City Chiefs for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
Faulk was also fined two game checks.
Faulk's suspension began Saturday. He will be eligible to return to the team Sept. 8, the day after New England's opener against Kansas City.
In July, a judge in Lafayette, La., sentenced the 32-year-old Faulk to a year of probation after he pleaded no contest to misdemeanor marijuana charges. Faulk had been issued a misdemeanor summons for possession of marijuana at a Li'l Wayne concert at the Cajundome in February.
Last season, Faulk had 47 catches for 383 yards and one touchdown. He also had 62 rushes for 265 yards. FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The NFL has suspended New England Patriots running back Kevin Faulk for the team's opening game against the K... more -
Patriots won the Super Bowl...in Nicaragua
Hundreds of shirts and caps, which had been manufactured in advance to celebrate the Patriots' expected victory over the New York Giants, have ended up in the hands of poor Nicaraguan children.
No word on whether or not Bill Belichick helped hand out the shirts, or just walked away from the children in disgust 45 seconds before the job was finished. Hundreds of shirts and caps, which had been manufactured in advance to celebrate the Patriots' expected victory over the New York... more -
Goodel admits Pats taped illegally since 2000
In his interview with Arlen Specter Goodel admitted that Bill Bellichick has been videotaping defensive signals since he took over as head coach of the patriots in 2000. This contradicts other statements by Goodel, and throws into a harsh the penalty levied by the NFL which was aware of the full extent of the violation when it issued a 500,000 and one draft pick fine against the Patriots. Also called into question is the destruction of the Patriots notes and illicit videotaped destroyed in the investigation. Goodel did not release the extent of the violations and destroyed all evidence into the matter, so had he not been pressed by Arlen Specter it is likely we would never have learned about the extent of the violations. Spector has yet to speak to Mat Walsh a Patriots video tech who was accused of taping the walk through for the Rams before the Superbowl in 2002 where the Patriots were two touchdown underdogs. From Yahoo News.
illegally
Here is my take. Many league coaches thought that the penalty wasn't stiff enough when there was only one in game violation. With seven years of verified abuse and an admonition of guilt by Bellichick it is hard to assume that those same coaches would believe that the fine and penalty were enough. The Patriots still have a first round draft pick and have been given a favorable schedule by the NFL as a result of their super bowl season. I think that more action is needed and that the NFL' conduct in this manner needs to be investigated. There does appear to be league Bias. The extent of the cheating was quite severe and because it was a team that had three super bowl titles and therefore should have been held to more scrutiny and not less for their actions. Each of those titles came in three point margins of victory. To assume that having foreknowledge of the defense couldn't give the Patriots that three point margin is ridiculous. This is a shame and the fact that the league was willing to stay silent about the extent of the abuse makes them complicit. SuperBets for the Super Bowl
Love action!?! Well these bets should get the gambler out in you. If you and your friends are like me and my crew the Super Bowl is a time for making a single game of football as big and as awesome an experience as it can be. It should take a full day of Pre-pre-gaming, pre-gaming, bbq'ing, drinking, gaming, post gaming, post-post gaming, ... , talking about the game the next day at work, talking about the best commercials, finding the best commercials on YouTube, etc, etc,
Indeed, gambling is the best way to make any sporting event more exciting for everyone. Compulsive gambling is the best. Basically the goal is to have everyone on the edge of their seat during a 40-13 game in the fourth quarter. Mix the gambling with some good friends and a few All American Beers (please enforce this rule at your Super Bowl Party, there really shouldn?t be a single Heiny, Corona, etc in sight. In fact you should just be using Bud, Bud Light, Coors, Coors Light, and Miller, Miller Light. Seriously) and you?ve got yerself a nice little Sundy carved out. I also think B&M Beans have a lot to offer as they relate to throwing a great Super Bowl party.
Well here are the most ridiculous bets for you to throw in with your own.

John Kerry rushes for Patriots
The next Patriots game - in which they have the chance to become the first undefeated team in 35 years - will be broadcast on NFL Network, meaning most people won't be able to watch it...unless a certain Senator from Mass intervenes to save the day.
So just to recap: in 2000, not a single senator would help the Congressional Black Caucus protest the election that brought Bush to power. In 2007, John Kerry is using his authority to help football fans in Massachusetts. I say too little, too late.
