1) Preparations For The Hull Freedom Trail
Twenty four members of the anti-slavery project HULL FREEDOM TRAIL are preparing a journey from the UK to Sierra Leone. The team is made up of people from all walks of life. Some are local business people, some have specialist skills required for the expedition, and some are young people from the most deprived areas of the city of Hull. The journey will be filmed by legendary film maker Claudio von Planta who also filmed Long Way Round and Long Way Down with Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman. The aim of the mission is to deliver five 4x4 vehicles to aid agencies working on the ground in Hulls twin-town of Freetown in Sierra Leone. The vehicles will be used to reunite children and families separated through human trafficking.
