DRUNK DRIVING MADE ME FOREVER 18
every 15 minutes someone is involved in an alcohol related crash. i would like my daughter Kelli's life AND death to matter in the world by helping other parents to not get THE 'knock at the door' like our family got that horrific night.
my only daughter was killed when she was 18 by two underage drunk drivers, racing on impulse. the car kelli was a passenger in crashed & all three died on impact 3 miles from our house.
I am new to this site & cant get my video's to upload. haha
but you can see them here:
www.youtube.com/kellilainedoa
kelli's myspace page is shown at schools across the nation that play the movie made about kelli's death. kell's page has also been on the news several time.
we hope to get "kelli's law" passed this year. but i'm not holding my breath. the state of south carolina really doesnt care about drunk drivers or adults selling to minors.
the one underage drunk driver involved with kelli's death was allowed to "call a friend" so he was never charged. not even a speeding ticket. umm 70 in a 35. wtf? yeah, i'm still bitter.
the 3 adults that sold alcohol to over 60 minors that night were never charged either. in the state of south carolina, you cant sell meth out of your private home-- but if it's a drug called alcohol........it's all good.
again, i'm still bitter.
thank you for reading
pam, kelli's mom
ps: the state of south carolina is 2nd in the nation for DUI fatalities, yet the highway patrol is the only state in the nation that doesnt carry a field breathalyzer. every 15 minutes someone is involved in an alcohol related crash. i would like my daughter Kelli's life AND death to matter in ... more -
