This is a Photo Story that I did for my photo208 class at Brooks Institute of Photography. SSgt. Duran is a U.S. Marine recruiter located in Ventura, Calif. I found it to be ironic that I would be doing this kind of story because I had the image of the stereotypical recruiter stuck in my head. Not only that I though just talking with a recruiter, I would some how be signing up. After spending a little over two weeks I found that SSgt. Duran was nothing like the stereotypical recruiter I was anticipating. I found that SSgt. Duran was just a regular guy who has a passion for what he does just as I do for my photography. Her involvement in this faith has conflicted with her ?born-again? Christian parents but this conflict has slowly improved as her parents have become more sensitive to her faith although they have no interest in changing theirs.
