New poll shows Barack Obama tanking in Pennsylvania
"The first fresh poll results from Pennsylvania are in since Barack Obama's "bitter" comments about people in small towns exploded as a news story, and the findings could hardly be worse for the Democratic presidential contender.
Intriguingly, the man in charge of the survey said interviews with voters indicate Obama's tumble in the state has more to do with what the candidate himself has said were ill-chosen words than anything else." Obama Race Speech Distorted by Polling Company Video
After watching the full video of the Obama speech on "a more perfect union", i saw the Rasmussen report video "Can Obama recover from the Pastor Problem?".
RasmussenReport's Website states that "during both Election 2004 and Election 2006, RasmussenReports.com was the top-ranked public opinion research site on the web." They "had twice as many visitors as our nearest competitor and nearly as many as all competitors combined."
I think this Video by RasmussenReports may be biased which would present a big problem to the Polling Company's general credibility, even though it claims that it was "the nation's most accurate polling firm during the 2004 Presidential election and the only one to project both Bush and Kerry's vote total within half a percentage point of the actual outcome."
(See "About Us" Section of their Website: http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/about_us
The video may be biased in its choice of footage used from the full Speech:
Besides the fact, that Rasmussen apparently uses footage from Fox (as can be seen from the inserts), which might itself have been an an unfavorable edit of the speech, the Polling institute presents rather extended excerpts of Pastor Wrights Sermon, as well as a short version of the Obama speech. Rasmussen edits this speech into the following (a complete text version of the speech can be read at http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/03/18/obama-race-spe...

"And I confess that if all that I knew of Reverend Wright were the snippets of those sermons that have run in an endless loop on the television and You Tube, or if Trinity United Church of Christ conformed to the caricatures being peddled by some commentators, there is no doubt that I would react in much the same way"
Cut to: "Anger over welfare and affirmative action helped forge the Reagan Coalition. Politicians routinely exploited fears of crime for their own electoral ends."
Cut to: "But I have asserted a firm conviction - a conviction rooted in my faith in God and my faith in the American people - that working together we can move beyond some of our old racial wounds, and that in fact we have no choice is we are to continue on the path of a more perfect union." New Iowa Poll: Obama widens lead over Clinton
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has widened his lead in Iowa over Hillary Clinton and John Edwards heading into Thursday's nominating caucuses, according to The Des Moines Register's final Iowa Poll before the 2008 nominating contests.
Obama's rise is the result in part of a dramatic influx of first-time caucusgoers, including a sizable bloc of political independents. Both groups prefer the Illinois senator in what has been a very competitive campaign.
Obama was the choice of 32 percent of likely Democratic caucusgoers, up from 28 percent in the Register's last poll in late November, while Clinton, a New York senator, held steady at 25 percent and Edwards, a former North Carolina senator, was virtually unchanged at 24 percent. Giuliani slipping in the polls - what's he doing wrong?
Well the new polls are in, and only 25% of republicans are supporting giuliani nowadays. He's been in the media a lot recently regarding his business practices and personal conduct, so it's easy to see why he's slipping a little bit. I think it can be attributed to more than that. Republicans who don't just want to vote with their party are looking at giuliani and seeing him as, well, not really a republican. His many leftist views on many important issues are surely detrimental to his campaign. The real question is: do you think giuliani will keep his slight lead and get the nomination? What does he need to do to get it? Huckabee has been surging in the past month and a half and now commands an impressive support percentage. I was an early supporter of Huckabee, and still support him today. I think he has what it takes. If you're a giuliani supporter, what do you think? Well the new polls are in, and only 25% of republicans are supporting giuliani nowadays. He's been in the media a lot recently regardi... more

Hilary's Disgusting Actions at The Debates
I don't know what you people see in her. It doesn't matter what she was laughing about, you do not laugh like that at someone or about war, as it is presumed. It's rude. It shows her true moral character. I don't know what you people see in her. It doesn't matter what she was laughing about, you do not laugh like that at someone or about... more

Barack's Dark Past - Why He Shouldn't Be Trusted
Read the article. It details (slightly) barack's past, which including experimentation with drinking and drugs. I don't know about you, but I don't want that to be my president. "There was a whole stretch of time when I didn't really apply myself a lot." Well I guess we can only hope if he gets the presidency, another stretch of time in which he doesn't apply himself again and destroys our country... he said he changed... but that brings up the age old question: does anyone ever really change?
And don't bring up Bush drinking... don't
This is that plus a step further
It won't work, Barack. Read the article. It details (slightly) barack's past, which including experimentation with drinking and drugs. I don't know about you... more -

Announcing HuffPost's Polling Project: Putting Polling Under a Microscope
The impact of polls and polling on our political process continues to be one of the unexplored stories of the 2008 race.
Take the remarkable gap -- chasm, really -- between the widening lead national polls continue to anoint Hillary Clinton with and the current dead heat in Iowa and New Hampshire.
It's enough to leave one wondering: are polls measuring the 2008 election or are they driving it? The impact of polls and polling on our political process continues to be one of the unexplored stories of the 2008 race. ... more -
Gore's nightmare: Europe turns to U.S. coal
The linked should be a testimony that Al Gore should run for office. He is a figure head for environmental issues but his name could carry more weight if he were president. Current President, Bush, can talk Europe into joining in his war campaign but Gore cannot persuade them not to use coal for fuel....even after they praised him and his studies on the environmental issues.
I hope he does take a stand for the people of America and serve his term in office so he can have absolute recognition. The linked should be a testimony that Al Gore should run for office. He is a figure head for environmental issues but his name could c... more -
