Last week on Current.com - 9/8-9/14
Hey guys,
Things have been super busy around these parts. With the announcement of Hack the Debate we've all been anchored down, steadily anticipating September 26th. It's going to be a very interesting experiment, and we are trying to get as many people involved as we possibly can, so help us spread the word. If you haven't heard the news yet, you can read up on it here:

So, let's dive into last week in Current:
// VC2 Leaderboard Winner //
Last Thursday was a tough battle over on the VC2 Leaderboard, but The Two Faces of Anonymous took a steady lead in the end. If you haven't checked it out yet, give it a spin. Congrats to AceHardchester and crew for a job well done!

Keith Olbermann says he will give to charity every time Palin lies
Last night on MSNBC, host Keith Olbermann aired clips of Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) offering her support for the so-called “Bridge to Nowhere” during a debate in 2006, and another of Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) criticizing it. “Considering that this campaign is not about issues, that dispute could very well be moot,” Olbermann said, adding that as of today, he will give to charity every time Palin lies:
OLBERMANN: By the way, as of tomorrow, every time Senator [sic] Palin repeats one of her standard lies about the Bridge to Nowhere or the plane she sold on eBay that she didn’t sell on eBay, or the fired chef she didn`t fire, I will donate 100 dollars to charity. It will be 300 dollars if she somehow says she sold the chef on eBay. I will also donate fictional cans of Aunt Sarah’s canned moose chunk stew to a lucky viewer. Bill O'Reilly Versus GE
Bill O'Reilly, the Fox News star, is mounting an extraordinary televised assault on the chief executive of General Electric, calling him a "pinhead" and a "despicable human being" who bears responsibility for the deaths of American soldiers in Iraq.
On the surface, O'Reilly's charges revolve around GE's history of doing business with Iran. But the attacks grow out of an increasingly bitter feud between O'Reilly and the company's high-profile subsidiary, NBC, one that has triggered back-channel discussions involving News Corp. owner Rupert Murdoch, Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes, NBC chief executive Jeff Zucker and General Electric's CEO, Jeffrey Immelt. Olbermann Rips Into Clinton For Praising McCain
Tonight on his show, Keith Olbermann eviscerated Hillary Clinton for a good ten minutes for promoting John McCain's presidency over her fellow Democrats. He compared her to Joe Lieberman. He asked "is she equating her time in the East Wing with McCain's time in the Hanoi Hilton?" You have got to watch these videos. They're devastating in only the way that Keith can be. Rove Spars with Highschooler on Gay Marriage, She wins
A man that has sidestepped tough questions from the top press officials in the nation on a regular basis and advised how to sidestep questions for even longer received nothing less than a verbal tongue lashing by a high schooler at an event where the media was barred. Its great to see my generation actually stepping up. I am glad we are because I haven't been all that impressed by other generations conduct lately in the press or in government. As for Rove's question posed to her "when do you intend to run for public office." I hope her answer is today! Or at the very least this girl needs to make a POD! John Edwards On Countdown With Keith Olberman, 1-4-08
This is a great interview with Keith Olberman about his candidacy, his chances, the pundits, and the "media blackout" of him which I think is absurd but not surprising. I know this much: The MSM in this country will do anything to demean or ignore the one who scares them the most. John Edwards absolutely is the one candidate out of our choices for the American people, and I hope that is shown clearly in NH. Thanks to Keith Olberman for this interview. George Bush's Skeleton in the Closet
More on Skull and Bones society: you've got to research this on your own, because there are only bits and pieces all over. It's incredibly obvious, yet entirely secretive. Is it appropriate for a US president to have an allegiance to a secret society? Particularly when part of the plan is to put other members into positions of power? Our President Is An Insult To The American People, To The World.
The terror and fear our so-called president uses to control the half of the population, the half who is to dim-witted and scared to understand or care, has now reached a level of certain danger and warranted certain action by US, the people. Our complacency in this endeavor is now at the root of this danger, and is now our responsibility to make right. This administration is criminal. Period. And no amount of this fearful pandering over gay marriage, or "communist" health care is going to change this for the half of us who cannot or will not understand what is being done to this country. We now teach in this country, as a matter of pride...fear. Can we all just think about this for a minute? Our newest addition to the education system is a devotion to being afraid of what might happen! Fear of gay people, oh my! State run health care for everyone, oh no! People we've declared war on might not like us, oh geez! If we don't buy from China it might have to be made here...in America, good lord! I know this all sounds so very frightening...perhaps you should see a shrink...what, no insurance? Keith Olberman lays it down like nobodies business against the Bush administration. Chills and goosebumps affected me like no other time before.
We have fallen to a dark and sad time. Let us hope we have more people like Daniel Levin and Keith Olberman in our future to help correct the direction we head in the future.
They even used Current TV footage to hammer the point home. Keith Olberman lays it down like nobodies business against the Bush administration. Chills and goosebumps affected me like no other ti... more
