Ronaldinho to sign for AC Milan
Manchester City have lost out to Italian side AC Milan in the race to sign Barcelona playmaker Ronaldinho.
Milan will pay Spanish side Barcelona just £14.6m for his services, with the figure likely to be increased by performance-related bonuses.
The two-time Fifa World Player of the Year's time at Barcelona effectively came to an end in June when new manager Pep Guardiola announced the playmaker was surplus to requirements.
Ronaldinho helped Barcelona win back-to-back Spanish league titles (2004-05, 2005-06) and the Champions League in 2006, but failed to cement a regular place in the starting XI last season because of injury and fitness issues. He took the three trannies to a motel where he discovered the terrible truth. He offered them each around $600 to leave. Two of the trannies accepted, but the other tranny, Andre Luis Ribeiro Albertino (above), demanded $30,000 or else.

Kaka is the best
Kaka, the Brazillian star who plays in Italy for AC MIlan has won the Balon D'Or for 2007 and can now officially call himself the greatest player in the world. It has been a mixed 12 months for the 25 year old. 2006 saw a disappointing turn out for Brazil in the World Cup and his club AC Milan have struggled domestically in the last few seasons. However few could doubt his class as he carried Milan to Champions League glory in May this year.
Despite Milan's inconsistencies, Kaka's individual performances continue to astound. He regularly scores spectacular goals and his presence on the pitch leaves mere mortals entranced.
I personally would have gone for Barcelona's Lionel Messi. The way he has performed this season so far I can't imagine it going to anyone else. It does seem this award normally goes to whoever has won the World Cup or the Champions League rather than a player who has consistently performed over 12 months. It is ridiculous that Thierry Henry or Francesco Totti have not been given this honour in previous seasons. Any Ronaldo fans out there? Gullit for Galaxy
LA Galaxy have signed Ruud Gullit to coach. He was definitely one of my favourite players back when he played for AC Milan and of course Chelsea. When he coached Chelsea it was a turning point in the club?s history - we won the F.A. Cup under him.
Hopefully, he can do the same for the Galaxy and change their fortunes. LA Galaxy have signed Ruud Gullit to coach. He was definitely one of my favourite players back when he played for AC Milan and of cou... more
