    • Ex-Abu Ghraib detainees file a lawsuit

Former detainees of the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq are suing U.S. contractors in four states, alleging the contractors' employees tortured them.

The first complaint was filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Seattle. Others are being filed in Detroit; Columbus, Ohio; and Greenbelt, Maryland.

The complaints allege that innocent people who were arrested and taken to the prison were subjected to forced nudity, electrical shocks, mock executions and other inhumane treatment by employees of defense contractors CACI International and L-3 Communications, formerly Titan Corp.

The plaintiffs are represented by law firms in Philadelphia and Detroit and by the Center for Constitutional Rights.

    • "World is failing" on human rights, says Amnesty International report

Human rights and freedom of the press in China, the detention of terrorist suspects by the United States and Russia's treatment of political dissent are the focus of scrutiny in Amnesty International's annual report, released Wednesday, which looks at the state of human rights around the world.

The 398-page report comes 60 years after the United Nations adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and Amnesty says governments still need to act on their promises.

"The biggest threat to the future of human rights is the absence of a shared vision and collective leadership," the organization said in a statement.

Irene Khan, Amnesty's secretary-general, said that in particular, "the human-rights flash points in Darfur, Zimbabwe, Gaza, Iraq and Myanmar demand immediate attention."

The report, the group said, "reveals a world riven by inequality, scarred by discrimination and distorted by political repression."

According to its count, people are tortured or subject to other ill treatment in at least 81 countries, face unfair trials in at least 54 countries and are not allowed to express themselves freely in at least 77 countries.

The Gypsies of Rome are being pushed out of the shadows - out of their homes - and into a spotlight they have never wanted. With immigration from Romania soaring in Italy in the last few years, concerns for security have increased in the Eternal City. Local government is reacting to crime bulldozing shantytowns than in the last few months have attacked the spine of the city, the river Tiber. We followed the destiny of different Roma at a very uncertain time for their community. • American Government is paying for over 240 Canadian Inmates doing time in Florida ...

As the title of this article states: “American Government is paying for over 240 Canadian Inmates doing time in Florida Prisons”-

Canada is refusing the return of their own Citizens back via International Transfer Requests in order to serve the remainder of their time in Canadian Prisons.

This number of over 240 inmates is for Miami Dade area Only, rest assured that there are Thousands of Canadians across the U.S.A. which are in the same situation.

Since the Conservative Government has been in power in 2006 the Canadian prisoner doing time outside Canada and charged for a Felony is deemed “A Threat to the Security of Canada and it's Citizens” which is the same label as a “Terrorist or Serial Killer, which these inmates are NOT.

Think about it; the cost of keeping one inmate incarcerated in a Florida Prison is:

      12. How much does it cost to incarcerate an inmate for a year?
In Fiscal Year 2005-06, it cost $19,002 a year or $52.06 a day to feed, clothe, house, educate and provide medical services for an inmate at a major prison, which is only $894 more per year than it cost the previous fiscal year. For more inmate cost per day information, go to www.dc.state.fl.us/ pub/annual/ 0506/budget.html.
      Miami Dade: $ 19,002.00cost per year X 240 inmates = $4,560,480.00
1 year for Miami Dade area back in 2005-06 the cost has gone up since then.

This cost is much more for prisoner needing Special medical attention as Mental Disorders, AIDS, Diabetes etc.

It costs Corrections Canada $110,223 to keep a male inmate in a maximum -security institution for a year (150,867 for a woman)
Medium- and minimum security- inmates cost more than $70,000.
These monies are paid by the Canadian Government in full.

The Canadian Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Stockwell Day is Denying the return of over 85% of International Requests. By Refusing all these residents access back to to Canada he is saving the Canadian Tax Payers Millions of dollars. Why have Canada pay the bill for these offenders if they can have the US or which ever other Country pay.

It is a Travesty to have the U.S. Government accept such decisions to keep these Non-Residents / Non Citizens in their Prisons.

The Florida C.I.s get next to Zero money from their government in order to run their institutions and they have no say as to wanting to return the non-residents back or not. The US government accept the decision of the other country if their country refuses to take them back home and serve their sentences.

The reason that I am aware of this eventhough I am a Canadian Citizen, is that my youngest son who is now 23 years old is serving a 20 years sentence in Florida and have been twice refused his International Transfer Request his Return to Canada. My son suffers from a Mental Disorder, he is Bipolar and this was no recognized in the Florida Court. My son is not receiving the medical attention / therapy and medication. My son was only 19 years old at the time of his arrest in 2004.
We ,his family and friends have been fighting the Canadian Government in order for him to get the Basic Human Right "Come back to his Country" where he can serve the remainder of his 16 years of his sentence close to his family and friends and receive the support and love that he needs in order to help him through these hard time.

Please help us bring my son back home

    • Stand Up For Your Rights, Proof It Works: FBI Backs Off From Secret Order for Data...

In this Washington Post article they state that this is the third time the FBI backed off. I know they are trying to protect the USA and are probably under White House orders, but enough is enough! Why can't the FBI stand up for our rights as well? They're there to protect and serve. Not protect and serve madmen that believe the Constitution is "...only a piece of paper." (there may have been an expletive there in that quote from a high ranking person in the white house, I have not researched the authenticity of that!)

What I'm saying is that the US Government should not be trying to find every which way to remove and step all over our rights. The police, the FBI, the CIA all should have the guts to say: Enough is enough, we will not destroy the Constitution, so play by the rules or go to jail!

    • Clinton Statement On NY Airspace Czar Appointment

On April 8, 2008 presidential contender Hillary Rodham Clinton's statement regarding the appointment of Director Kennington-Gardinera included directing the new NY airspace czar to include the environmental impacts on residential communities in any criteria to address the metro area's congestion and delays (see below).

The New Jersey Coalition Against Aircraft Noise (NJCAAN) appreciates Clinton's statement that includes consideration regarding the health impacts generated by the aviation industry in the metro area. One clear way to address delays would be to utilize the restricted offshore military airspace for commercial aircraft. The military utilizes this airspace for training purposes. The unintended consequence is to force more commercial aircraft over residential communities.

Statement of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton Regarding the Appointment of
the Director for the Federal Aviation Administration's New York Integration Office

"I am pleased that the FAA has finally taken action to appoint someone who can take a comprehensive look at the problems with our airspace. I certainly hope that Director Kennington-Gardinera will immediately begin the critical task of evaluating congestion at every step of the flight process, including the impact of flights over residential areas. While we must take action immediately to end the problems that plague our airports and airspace, any plans moving forward must also consider the quality of life for those people living in current and proposed flight paths. This is a quality of life issue for travelers as well as residents and this is our best chance to make sure everyone's concerns are heard."

Late last year, Senator Clinton joined her colleagues in the New York and New Jersey congressional delegation in calling for the appointment of an "airspace czar" to evaluate congestion at every step of the flight process - from tower control, to the TRACON, to the routing center.

    • Trains are coming back in style!

In the future, there will be the return of railroads and I couldn't be happier!

I've already explained in another article that I think it's time that U.S. really starts considering a larger network of high-speed railways because of our current airline problems. I know it's being implemented in California and in Texas but with all the problems lately with air travel from masturbating passengers to too hot fliers, we need a new mode of transportation across the board.

Also, well established high speed rail systems in use today are more environmentally friendly than air or road travel. This is due to lower energy consumption per passenger kilometer, reduced land usage for a given capacity compared to motorways, and displaced usage from more environmentally damaging modes of transport. In fact, I'm sure more study into it could make it even more eco-friendly.

I don't know why Americans think flight is our only mode of transportation. I know it's quicker but the prices are rising and the courtesy you once got on a flight is now diminishing. Flight understandable when going overseas or even across country but we've got find new efficient ways to get around.

The study of human anatomy and physiology.
Is not a question to say that I have never done it, but observing people through history I sense how many take their body for granted. Man and Women takes their bodies for granted when they move or do the simple daily tasks of living. Because we just do it we do not stop to think about how marvelous is to walk, to talk, to see, to hear, to smell, to taste and so forth. Just think about that for a moment here, and follow me into this conversation, that will takes us to learn and understand our body physiological function, making life happening every day. We get cut and our skin repair itself miraculously, next day or two, nothing, sometimes not even a scar left behind and we are ready to go. Think about this!

Acoustic Trespassing it is a Legal term to identify Acoustic Pollution and Its Human Rights Violation and Torture.

If you are going to enter with a Legal Litigation Process against Public Transportation Acoustic Violations, or any other ones that fall into the same category, the Legal Term to use is:

      "Acoustic Trespassing."

No one is trying to re-invent the wheel on this one and the legal principals and response for this human rights violation and urban menace falls into the same Laws of Physical Trespassing. No one have the right to trespass anyone's habitats property lines, being that physically or with any type of unwanted energy.

      These unwanted energy can be:
