    • Conservative columnist of the National Review calls for Palin to drop out

      Palin Problem
      She’s out of her league.

      By Kathleen Parker

If at one time women were considered heretical for swimming upstream against feminist orthodoxy, they now face condemnation for swimming downstream — away from Sarah Palin.

To express reservations about her qualifications to be vice president — and possibly president — is to risk being labeled anti-woman.

    • William F. Buckley Jr. is dead at 82

William Buckley, conservative author and tv host has died. He was found at his desk at his home in Connecticut, and although the cause of death is not immediately known, he suffered from diabetes and emphysema.

From one of the comments on the National Review site: "William F. Buckley's life was marked by enormous joy. He had a lust for life as well as for letters and debate. He raised a wonderful and accomplished son, loved and was loved by, a formidable and beautiful wife, had more friends than he could count or, in a sense even know, and will be remembered for generations to come."

    • Jonah Goldberg vs. Jon Stewart

Goldberg, in an interview tries to argue the rise of liberal fascism in America. Now when I saw Naomi Wolf's take on it, she was very intelligent about and actually opened my ears to what's happening in the US. However, Goldberg is using labels to assume that practically everything is fascism, right down to organic food.
Watch this humorous yet horrifying interview.

    • Is the Right Winning?

In this article from the National Review, Roger Clegg claims that there's optimism for conservative culture warriors. He stakes a lot on victories in three fronts: Affirmative action, immigration, and illegitimate child birth.

Did I miss something? Did Leftists suddenly become pro-illegitimate child? What is this guy smoking?

And where does he pull this stat: "1 in 4 non-Hispanic white children are born from parents out of wedlock"? Is that true?
