Public Brainwashing
Hey, I've been thinking this for some time now.
I remember a year or two ago there was a huge shortage of health professionals, such as nurses, doctors, etcetera.
Then, out comes this show "scrubs". This show suddenly makes the health care profession look not only desirable, but entertaining, full of drama, comedy, and social interaction.
Don't get me wrong, i love the show, i think it has an amazing cast and a great and witty script.
But, i can't help but feel that there are hidden messages behind it. Like the government, or someone in power, made the show about being a nurse with the sole intent of drawing young, lost, and impressionable people be drawn to this career.
The show could have been about working at a landscaping job, or being a lawyer, or really any job. Then i now have to point out that there are television shows about working at supermarkets, and being lawyers, and almost every job you can think of. Sure, maybe the shows were created to relate to that certain market. But maybe in this case, the show created the market. I have no proof, i have nothing to back up this statement, it is simply my opinion, and I'd like to know what everyone thinks about it. thanks. The Democratic nomination is decided by delegates garnered through a number of processes. When all is said and done, by any measure you use Sen. Barack Obama as earned the vast majority of these delegates. It is all but mathematically impossible for Sen. Clinton to over come this sizable advantage. At this point Diebold couldn't help her beat him. The only thing that could possibly give her the nomination is the so called super delegates giving her the nomination completely alienating the Obama Nation. Go and find the politicians with the stones to upset that constituency. While you at it bring back Big Foot, Jimmy Hoffa and a snap shot of the Lockness Monster. British Pre-Schoolers To Receive Compulsory Brainwashing
A new compulsory national curriculum for under-fives imposes sixty nine benchmarks that they must achieve before they enter into the school system. This is ridiculous, it takes away from their parents the freedom to raise them as they see fit and doesn't take into account the fact that babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers develop at varied rates. Nursery schools, mother, and even child-minders and nannies (and possibly baby-sitters?) will now have to force these little ones to learn a bunch of stuff in a specific manner and order. This reeks of Big Brother trying to take control of all children and brainwash them. It can only lead to huge psychological and emotional damage in those kids.
