John McCain is not smart enough to be US president
Presumed Republican presidential nominee John McCain believes that Czechoslovakia is still an existent country, despite the fact that it has not been for 15 years. This makes him the type of person that one might charitably describe as a dum-dum.
Now, I know what some of you are thinking. Some of you are thinking: "Hell, I didn't know Czechoslovakia isn't a country anymore, either - and, darn it, I'm no dum-dum!" Well, maybe you are and maybe you aren't, but it's rather beside the point since you're not running to be the president of the United States, which is one of the most globally important jobs on the planet.
Unfortunately (for a whole lotta reasons), McCain is - and that means he probably ought to have a passing familiarity with the goings-on in Europe over the last couple of decades, as it's an important continent and stuff. Seattle's mean streets
With Seattle's crime rate the lowest it's been in decades, the violent death of James Paroline is a distressing intrusion on relative calm.
Paroline was outside his upper Rainier Beach home sprucing up a traffic circle when young thugs decided to take him on. Paroline's offense? Placing orange construction cones in the street to cordon off the small area where he toiled — weeding, watering and tending purple, yellow and pink flowers.

"In all my years of studying douchebaggery, never have i encountered anything like this. It’s such pure and unadulterated douche that I wish I could bottle it and use just a drop of it at a time.
The back story on this is that a girl named Olga was out with her friends in the Marina district of San Francisco (known for being a popular hang out for douches), and she talked to this guy named Dmitri for all of two minutes. Then she gave him her card and said “give me a call.” The above is the messages he left. Listen to the whole thing, it just keeps getting better and better. I won’t even tell you my favorite parts because i don’t want to ruin anything. Just listen."
It's quite a marvelous piece of work. It's every bad idea that has occurred to clueless teenagers when they make their first call to a girl they are afraid won't called back, but are smart enough not to go through with, put together in one fantastic message.
And for those who have seen the Current pod on "pick up artists", he's also trying some of those lame "neg" techniques. Oooh... maybe he even went to one of those seminars...
UPDATE: here's a link that gives some background on who this Dimitri is. Apparently, he is a self proclaimed "pick up guru". Not really a surprise...
