Obama is set to break a single-day fundraising record of $9 million.
Tuesday's events in Tinseltown come after Obama racked up a record-breaking $66 million dollars in fundraising last month, beating his previous high mark of $55 million last winter.
"The fundamentals of our economy are strong, but these are still very, very difficult times," rival McCain said, sunny-side up.

Nothing Compares to Family is the slogan for Skecher's new ad campaign featuring Tori Spelling, the child of a zilionnaire turned 90210 star turned home wrecker turned reality star. When I saw this in Entertainment Weekly last week, I yelped it was so cringy. Skechers? Really, Tori? There is just so much wrong with this photo, from her wooden pose to...someone call child services. The CW is developing a contemporary spinoff of Aaron Spelling's seminal 1990s teen soap "Beverly Hills, 90210."
"Veronica Mars" creator Rob Thomas is in talks to pen the project, which has been put on the fast track by the network.
